hi, computer is harmful when it's used much. it should always be seen that the person in front of the computer is seated in the correct height to avoid the pain in the back and neck. also filters are now available which reduces the effect on the eyes. happy mylotting!

I think that the only way that a computer can be truly harmful to health is if you constantly stare at the screen for so many hours! I know that I certainly get eye strain from time to time. I guess kids are far more vulnerable as regards their eyesight and should be constantly monitored as to how long they spend on the pc. I think that they always say, it's good to take a regular break after every forty-five minutes of being on the pc. So, this is what I practise and thankfully I have not suffered any adverse effects. I think yes. Of course, If you use computer very long. Then better go play football or read a book. But if you use computer for 2 hours, it shouldn't be dangerous.

Depends on the amount of time you spend on the computer. If you are sitting for more than 10 hours a day it can have quite a harmful effect on your eyes. I actually sit for around 12 hours a day on the computer and now have to use glasses with a power of -3.75 for my left eye and -3 for my right eye.

its dependent on your monitor, if its TFT LCD monitor then there is not so much harm to your eyes, but if you got crt monitors then it depends on the amount of radiation it emits, as CRT monitors get older the radiation emitted increases ,you can use radiation screen to reduce the effects of radiation from CRT monitors..
