What do you think of your neighbor?

When my mother in law died and we took over her house I was really worried that we'd end up with annoying neighbors. We were so used to living out of town, just the idea of a neighbor wasn't nice. I got pleasantly surprised though. Our neighbors aren't much younger than us, have 3 young children, the oldest being 12 and the youngest is somewhere around 5, and they are all really cool. When I saw kids I though "oh no, I have to deal with loud, obnoxious brats" but I really like these kids. The two oldest are boys and are great kids. The youngest is a girl who is getting out of her annoying stage already too. The parents are in their late 20's, have been together since highschool, both work, and already own their own house. They have company alot, but are never loud, even when they have parties. They are actually an awesome family and hope they live there for the duration. Even my 16 year old son likes them, and that's saying alot. So are you lucky with the neighbors you have or did you end up with nightmares?

I hate my neighbor. If you are familiar with the PC games neighbor from hell, you should know that I already had one. Their family lives in front of my house. They parked their cars in the street and sometimes just exactly in front of my carport, so that I cannot get my car out. Their father is a loud person, he yelled this and that everyday. Their kids going in and out in the middle of the night and feels that it is okay to honk the horn and wakes everyone in the neighborhood up. Their dog barking all day and all night and they didn't do anything about that. And they kept lecturing me about being a good people.

Wow, I'm sorry to hear that. I know the type you're talking about though. Do you own your house? Sometimes its easier to move than to deal with those kind.

LOL. Too bad that I own the house, not renting as I always wish. But now my mother was thinking about selling the house and move to another better environment that is closer to work and to the city. I think that would a good sign since we don't really need the house. My parents was thinking of an apartment for us, that should take us away from the crazy neighbor LOL

He has gotten older now and has calm down a lots, I have seen him out run the police in his car. He drives without license, he has loud company, he like old loud cars, he fights with his girlfriend, you name it he does it. All the other neighbors are great.

I'm sorry you have a crapper in your neighborhood. Those people are just stressful, but you can't completely get away from them to relieve it. Hope he doesn't cause any problems for you personally.

Hi. tazzybaby. I think that my neighbors are okay and then again, not so okay. The man downstairs is a complete nut! He will do anything that he can to get on my nerves. He is mean and nasty! I don't care for him at all. I do my best to stay out of his way. I don't want to be caught alone with him, ever! I ended up with a nightmare. But soon this nightmare will be over! We are planning on moving this month. So, I don't ever have to deal with him and his crap anymore. Thank God for your neighbors. They are very nice and you have been so blessed to have them as neighbors. I am afraid that I can never say this about my neighbor from downstairs. The lady that lives in front of me is very nice. Her kids don't really say much. Her daughter may speak to me and to my kids. The girl that lives in front of my downstairs neighbor is quiet. She seems very mean. She yells at her children a lot. And she hardly ever speaks to me. But you are so lucky to have kind and sweet neighbors!
