$20 to spend and nothing to buy!

I received a $20 coupon off of a purchase of $20 or more at the Fashion Bug. I was so excited to go shopping last night. I didn't have any kids, so thought I would go and take my time. My plan was to spend my $20 coupon and pick up a couple of new outfits for this fall.
I was soooooo disappointed. I spent over 1 hour in the store. I was in the try on room at least 5 times. I couldn't find anything that I absolutely loved!
I did end up picking up a top that was originally $21.99 just to use the $20 coupon, but I don't love it.
Does this ever happen to you? You get all psyched up about going shopping only to find nothing!

Being the shopaholic that I am, it's rare that I find nothing to buy anywhere but I did receive several gift certificates to a bath and body store and I excitedly checked their website only to find nothing really stood out to me. I have a lot of similar stuff and I just couldn't find anything that I really truly had to have. But I had the gift certificates so I got some stuff anyway and I like it.
But it does stink to go shopping only to find you just don't like the stuff or can't find what you want. I have a gift certificate to a clothing store and I plan to go this week. It's a big store so I know I'll find something I like. Probably a lot of somethings. lol.
Fashion Bug is not my favorite store and I hardly can find things I want there. They're kind of pricey and their styles are not what I like. I'm sure I could find something if I had a gift certificate but I understand how it feels to get all ready to get some new things only to not really like anything or worse, to like something and them my have my size. I hate that!

I didn't use to go to the Fashion Bug, until someone gave me a gift certificate from there. I do agree that they are a bit pricey, but I found out that they usually have great sales and I have found things there in the past that I like from really dressy to very casual.

Yes!! I've had coupons for $10 of free stuff at JC Penny, which with clearance you can get a few things from time to time. I always find stuff when I DONT have the coupons, but when I get them-- I never can find anything!! I've had that happen other times too, but that is one example of.
Atleast you only had to pay $1.99 for a shirt, instead of the full price,but still!

I love the JCPenny coupon. When I get the $10 off $10, I always go and buy some towels. This way I am always getting new towels here and there and they aren't costing me much of anything.

I haven't received a JC Penny coupon in a while, I wonder if they stopped making them for my area.
That's a good idea getting towels. We should do that!
I was always getting a new bra with mine. LOL I'd normally have to put a few dollars to it, but atleast i was getting a nice new bra that I didn't have to spend much on.

This happens to me a lot. You know what I do though- Try on 50 things.... hate them all and then buy something for my daughter. I have a $20 coupon too- it's from the credit card. I need to go take a look around.

I am going on a girls weekend next week so really wanted to get something to wear for that:( I did wear the top I bought yesterday and it was cute ....of course it would be cute, I was wearing it:) Just not what I really wanted. But I couldn't not use the $20 gift cert.

This has happened to be a few times, I will get cupons in the mail or a sale flyer or something and when I go to the store to check it out it will be for a certain item I don't need or something. They might be out of my size in something or i just don't see anything I like, it dose get me down sometimes but I try not to let it bother me that much.

That happened to me sometimes, Im so excited to go shopping and you cna't find something nice. It's really disappointed sometimes. SO i end up romaning around the mall till i get hungry just buy a facial cream and have a snakcs then going home with nothing. Whatta bad day in shopping!

That was pretty much my experience too. I walked around and bought some pomade for my hair, then found some curtains~ once home, didn't like them...so it was pretty much a waisted trip.

it has happened to me many a times too.........
but doesnt matter something thats free isnt that bad............u can gift it to someone if u dont like it

I know...the point was I could get something free, so I HAD to get something. I thought about using it as a gift, but what if they needed to bring it back...that would be complicated.

Never happens to me, I know which stores i like, and I only use the coupons that make me all tingly. Is this a store that you go to often? I know a lot of people who will go to new stores because of coupons, but not me. It's got to be a place that I like, in order to get excited about getting a coupon from there. It's got to be a store that would be unusual for them NOT to have something to my liking.

I go to this store all the time and usually can find a ton of items that I love. It was just one of those odd times that I couldn't find anything. I actually did wear the top I bought and now I like it a little more than when I bought it.

life is precious one. lot of disappointed things and problems may face in your life. its also challenging one. one who over come this problems, who can defeat any kind problem stones. this the adventure life.
