as i was learning in religion class about many different ways the beginning of the world started i learned that that catholics have two other religions theory's of the creation of the world within it. i believes the scientific reasoning for the beginning of the world. if u don't know what i am talking about it is The Big Bang Theory. i would really like to know about your believes of the creation fo the world and your reasoning to self enlighten myself upon this subject. try to help me out as much as you can and also do not try to say anything abusive about others religious belief.

I also believe the scientific theory about the beginning of the world. I know that many religious people want creationism to be taught as a science but to me it is a symbolic interpretation of the world and cannot be real.
To me the religious theory of creation makes no sense and yet every religion has its own creation story. Since every creation story cannot be true, as they are all different, what choice to we have but to accept what the scientists have found.
There is not reason to accept the Christian creation story over any other creation story. Every faith believes theirs is the correct one. Christianity wants theirs accepted because they are the currently dominant Western religion. All creation stories were invented as ways of understanding our place in the world when we lived by mystic thought patterns rather than rational thought patters.
In those days the world was still a magical place. Science has taken all the magic away. Not sure if that is a good thing or not. In some ways I think we would be better off if we still saw the magic of the natural world rather than how much money we can make by destroying it.
That is why the Church tried so hard to prevent science from studying these things. They did not want any one to find out the truth as they feared it would disrupt their faith. They did not want any one to learn to think for themselves or question what the priests taught because then they might learn to question the whole faith.
