This is a discussion I wanted to bring up because its important that parents get the understanding of this issue...This is an actual debate , so I do want pro's and con's ....Im against this however ....I feel that you're in school, a place to learn , why should a students clothing affect how a student learns or a teacher teaching ? Okay so people may get really angry about this but that's why were debating...I feel that this is really important because I was listening on the radio the other morning and they were debating this whole issue...I know it may be a huger problem for highschool students because they are much older. Elementary students are little kids,A parent with comman sense knows much better than to send their childern to school half naked..now thats just smart speaking...Middle school students are half way going to listen ,they can careless...they will reject the fact that they are having to wear such a thing and they will most def. find a way around it...Where I live in my city kids don't wear uniforms unless they go to a private school or academy..other than that they don't have to...But , where my grandma lives , which is in the same state but different city ,they have to wear uniforms even smaller kids...I also feel that its really silly to say that the shoes have to follow the uniform too, they have to have a certain color of shoes, now come on thats just bull , that's a lot to ask out of a parent, time and days that we are in now, its hard to go out and buy some all black shoes "because it has to match uniform" come on , thats crazy !!!!!! thats the reason kids now a days seem to out focus in school , because they are already hurt by the fact they cant show off there new clothes on the first day of school....SOOOOO how do you guys feel about this ? let me know if your a pro or a con...thanks...remember now answer is wrong or right, its a debate..

I think that children should be required to wear uniforms because this means that they do not have to worry about what they have to wear to school everyday, there is only one thing that they have to wear.

Yes thats true too..but to tell you the truth that really is boring, why would someone want to wear the samething to school everyday ? I mean just think about it, why would you want to go to school looking like the rest ?

That is just it, you have less chances of being picked on or bullied if you look like everyone else. You can focus more on your studies rather than worrying about someone coming to beat you up because you are wearing the wrong colors. It might be boring, but you are more focused on one thing, than having to worry if you are going to get your butt handed to you after school.

I believe students should wear school uniforms. This eliminates a lot of pressure that adolescents feel about their appearance. Some of this pressure is created because of the different income levels of families in public schools. Wearing uniforms also removes the status stigma kids feel because of this.

We were always tld that it was so no-one stuck out. I think people always stuck out anyway, you could always tell who had "money" and who didn't
I always thought it odd that they wanted to take away our individuality more than anything. I think you could still have a form of identified of the school and certain rules about what you could and couldnt wear.
I gave up wearing proper school uniform in the 3rd your of secondary school, I was forever being called to the office ;)
I still hate conforming even now!
