Ad Sense?

I'm trying to place adsense ads on my site and I can't figure out how to do it...I looked at the video and read the FAQ and thought I did everything right but the ads are not showing up...when I paste it on my site, the ad code shows up instead of the ads...I made sure to put it in html view but it's still not working...I even tried the regular design view just to see if it would work that way but it's not...what else can I do?...thanks

What site is it you're talking about?
Is it something you built yourself from scratch? Or is it something with a template that you just fill in the blanks?
Maybe if we had a look at it we might be able to help further.

Put the code back up like you did before and send me a msg that you've done so. Maybe it's the way you're putting in the code, and if I see it I might be able to tell what you've done wrong.
And I got two popups too while waiting for your site to load.

That's very wierd because not only do I not have any pop ups on my site, I don't know how to put them on!...thanks for telling me...it doesn't happen when I view my site.
