-I POSTED THIS THREAD AT MYLOT interest AND DECIDED REPOST THIS AGAIN HERE, on the proper thread-
One Wednesday morning, while waiting for a jeepney to pass by. I saw someone wearing a white shirt that has a "ERAP 2010" print on it. It was kinda weird and funny thought at the same time seeing someone wore that kind of shirt. Later did i found out on a local news program that Former President Estrada came to Davao City for a visit. (Not really sure though what his real purpose for coming here) and the shirt that I've seen that morning was all part of urge for Mr. Estrada to run this coming 2010 presidential elections. So it was all an "Early Campaign" visit. Hmmm..
What's your thought on this? Should he run? Is he qualified to run again? If decides to run again, do Filipino people deserve him? (DONT GET ME WRONG ON THIS)

I don't think he deserves another term. There is no assurance that he won't do the same thing he did during his last term. I don't know if he is lawfully qualified to run again. I don't recall reading any laws about a president that did not finish his/her term and then running for office again. Personally, I don't think he is qualified to run again. He is a criminal. Of course that really doesn't matter. We have a senator who was in jail at the time of his victory in the elections. I don't think he deserves another chance.

I think he should not be given another chance in the government. Not even in the congress or senatorial position. Estrada was no hero. He had a lot of discrepancies during his term. The Filipino people suffered in poverty more and he had already shown how evil he is by using the people's money. He was a thief. To note that he doen't have any good educational background. We need a president that we Filipinos will respect and who can represent us in world forums and summits. A country's president sometimes represent who his people are. We don't want to be noted as dumb and corrupt.. We also want our president to bring pride to our country. We have had enough of the illegal doings of Joseph Estrada. He was no good president and he will never be. I won't vote for him and I think majority of us won't cast their votes for him too

Politicians have their own strategy of knowing the people what their political plans are. Without going direct to the point. They deny their intentions but it shows in their movements. Only to make sure people and supporters will realize the truth.

Oh mygoodness ! wake up people and learn from our mistakes ! I dont vote in Philippines anymore, but still very much concerned about our country. My ffamilies and relatives are still there and whatever happens to the economy still affects us. I hope that this is just all gimmicks, checking if how the people feel about it. Crossing my fingers that nobody will give soo much attention about it. Or maybe scaring tactics for the opposition ? I dont know, but HE SHOULD NOT BE RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT ANYMORE and for any other position available there is...grrr

I think this is a marketing strategy to see if a lot of people would bite on or ride on the ERAP 2010 campaign and if they see that a lot of people actually believes that ERAP should run again I think he would. Oh well, if ever he would run again, is it allowed by the law? if so I think it is up to the voting people to do something about it. I really have no say regarding ERAP, because we all know how corrupt every politician is, it so happens that Erap is not that smart unlike Arroyo, so he was caught. And a lot of Erap advisers then has their own interest, I think when Erap was still a president, he was used by so many people. I think he really is kind, so maybe he should just put up an organization rather than run for the election.
Well if he would win, I don't know is it charisma working or just plain stupidity on the voters part.

Our country needs a new leader definitely but I don't think he could handle the problems of this country. For me it would really take a long time to have an ideal leader for this country because the people are not united toward a common goal. Each has his or her own interest and if only we think about our country surely we won't be needing another leader that only serves himself or herself and not the country.
