There are way too many Bret Hart matches that I like to really name here. I thought about going for the cheap answer and say pretty much every match on the Bret Hart DVD, but that would be too easy. I am going to name some matches that are beyond the usual subjects. Like the Bret Hart/Mr. Perfect match(any one of them), the Bret Hart/Roddy Piper match at Wrestlemania 8, Steve Austin/Bret Hart(any of them), Bret Hart/Owen Hart(any of them), Bret Hart/Undertaker(anyo one) and many more of them than I can really name. Bret Hart had a lot of random matches in 1995 that I really liked. His match with Hakushi at the first In Your House was one of the better opening matches in history. In fact, the only one that is better might be the Bret Hart/Owen Hart match, so its in good company. Hakushi never made it, which was a shame. He was a year too soon and in the wrong company, as he would have fit the WCW Cruiserweight division. Also, he had a match against Jean-Pierre Layfiette that was pretty good. You would think that a feud with a Pirate over a stolen jacket would not be a good match but you would be wrong. They had a couple of surprisingly good matches. Also, Bret Hart had a fairly decent series of matches with Isaac Yankem, or as you might know him, Kane. A really green and inexperienced Kane, who could not. Switching over to WCW, while that Bret Hart run did not really matter all that much and was a missed opportunity, there will still a couple of good matches. Bret Hart's main matches with Chris Benoit is a given(The Owen Hart Tribute, the WCW World Title finals at Mayhem 1999, and a couple others that occurred on Nitro). However, there was a match that Bret Hart had against Booker T on Nitro in about the early part of 1999 that was good. And Bret had a torn groin, yet it was still good. So regardless, there were many great matches for Bret Hart. If I was forced to choose one match and one match alone, I would have to choose Bret Hart against Steve Austin, at Wrestlemania 13 as well. Given the fact that it was the match that propelled Stone Cold to his rise to the top and it was a fun match. It was a hard choice.

Going through your response.. any wrestling observer can clearly tell that you have deep knowledge with 'WWF' I had watched all the matches you had mentioned. Especially Dr.Isaac Yankem, who was introduced as jerry lawler's dentist. that match was so nice even it had DQ finish. In WCW, owen hart tribute match was awesome. while reading bret's biography, especially about his line reg that match, really sentimental. samelike you, if i was put to select one and one match alone, I will always select Bret Hart against Steve Austin, at Wrestlemania 13. Is it possible to watch a match like that again?? or atleast like the 'Entrance', which Bret gave on that match.. What a stylish entrance?? I feel that hollywood had missed a great hero during those years..

i didnt see that match ..but i still think he is the best in the wwe. shawn is no doubt capable of being the best but i still think bret was better. too bad he had to go through the Montreal screwjob and what happened to his brother later.

In my opinion any match that Bret Hart had against either the his late younger brother Owen Hart or the late Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig were the best matches of his career. Those three men all had very similar styles and had such chemistry in the ring together which mad ethe performances always exciting and just simply the best.

Bret Hart for me is an all time favoriet WWE superstar...I would say that I like all of his matches...he is such a humble person...recently when he cam back to be the Guest Host on Raw I was overjoyed...he is the best, the bester is and the bester ever will be. Some of his classics were aginst Shawn Michaels, Owen Hart, Stone Cold, Undertaker to name a few.

i think bret hart and shawn micheals. shawn is just oozing with arrogance while bret hart is pretty humble and they're both good in the ring so i guess this matchup is made for eachother.

In my opinion any match that Bret Hart had against either his late brother Owen Hart or the late Mr Perfesct Curt Henig are the best performances he gave. All three of those men had very similar styles and just had such chemistry in the ring. You could watch them for hours on end.
