Small Family-Rich Family, Big Family-Poor Family??

Please share your views on this, Thank you. Does it really follow that small families (1-2 kids) are the rich families, and the big families (4-up kids) are poor families? I'm quite confused about this notion because the government at present has been strengthening measures to control population believing that it's the cause of poverty in society.
Does it not that the economic condition of a household depend on the efforts exerted by the heads of such family to meet the needs of their members? What do you think? Or does it mean that if you only have 1 child you exert effort less to survive because you only have 1 mouth to feed? What are your views on this?

I don't count riches in dollars. A happy family full of LOVE has all the riches in the world!! A family with ALL the money in the world that has NO love has NOTHING. Money does NOT bring happiness!!!
