Uploading photos

I tried uploading photos which has the extension or type BMP..but i could not able to upload here..is it we could not able to upload bmp extension or type of image file here. then how we could convert to upload here.. Any ideas friends Thanks in advance

JPG and GIF acceptable here .. BMP is not because file size is matter.

Bitmap files are generally much larger than jpeg or gif files so would chew up storage space very quickly! Resaving the file as a jpeg will dramatically reduce the file size and allow you to upload it.....

bmp files are not allowed in mylot only jpeg and gif images are allowed. happy myltoing.
