Can songs affect our character?

Ive been listining to rock music for 8 years now and i think my lifestyle has been base on this music already. But do you think even my character or attitude can be affected? (if you see any spellings that are wrong please feel free to correct me id be very much thankful if you do)

I do believe that the songs affects your character in some ways esp. if you are really hooked to the type of music you listen to.Like when I was young I used to love rock and alternative music and I became a loud person and it even changed the way I dress up.I imitate their actions.So now I am more of r&b lover and I make sure that it will not affect my character but the music I listen to depends on my mood.If I feel sad,I would like to listen to alternative songs.If I have to do something and I need to be awake all night I would listen to a rock song.So it some way or the other it affects our character.

Well it doesnt really affect the way i dress up cause i hate imitating people. But i really hate other kinds of music specially hip-hop it gets my blood boiling. hehehehehehe but i dont really punch someone i just leave the place to get some air. hahahahahaha
