I know of a lot of people who are always out buying the latest and hottest cellphone models. Personally, I don't really think it is wise to spend so much on something that gets outmoded so fast. I only change phones once the one that i am using starts to malfunction or "show signs of ageing" like a dim LCD display. Actually, I really find it inconvenient to change phones because there's so much data that I need to tranfer.
How about do? How often do you change cellphones?

After this year and a long two year contract, I decided to keep my cell phone and not upgrade anymore. I just got tired of paying every month and then I cancelled. Well, I went to a tracfone and started really missing my verizon wireless so I went back and signed up for 1 more year. All I have on my phone is local and long distance calling, nothing else. I use my tracfone for text messaging only now. :)

Barring that it does not break or have disaster strike it, only once every two years. My current one though, I really doubt that I will want to change out that soon. It is the newest Samsung PDA smart phone and I absolutely love it. I use it for text, phone calls, email, internet, notes, etc.

Personally, I have had a few cellphones already. I do upgrade when the need arises but am speaking of practicality here. I don't normally upgrade cellphones because of their great features and stuffs like that. I just upgrade my cellphone when they're no longer functional to me. What's important to me is that I can get in touch with families and friends by either call, text, or video call. :) I am one with you when you say that transferring of data from a cellphone to another cellphone is inconvenient and time consuming. :)

Most of my cellphones function just fine even after 2 years of use. The reason why I change phone every 2 years is simply because my network plan grants me a free phone every 2 years and usually the models keep getting better.
In my most recent case though, I am using both my old phone and my new on 2 separate SIM cards.

yaa
u r right
if we have data in a mobile, its too difficult to change mobiles often
and that too many mobile companies are designing a wide range of mobiles with different features
in my mobile i will save all the data to my sim card
its easy to me to change a mobile
ill not waste the money
ill buy a new one and illkeep my old one with me instead of selling that'

A cellphone is a cellphone and is used mainly for calling and sms. Any cellphone will do. Why waste money on upgrades every now and then? I prefer to let the cellphone wear out and got out of order before I change it. Conserve the world resources. The more you buy, the more the production and hence the more the pollution. Help save the world.
