What do you do to save money in today's economic climate?

I'm just wondering what you all do to save money in light of today's current economic climate. With the prices of food and utilities growing by the day, and the cost of living in general getting higher, and wages staying the same, we all need to live a little more frugal than we all used to. What do you do to save money in your household? I do lots of little things, like: * I squash the loo roll before I put it in the toilet as the kids and hubby tend to use less. * I have a condenser tumble drier and when I use it, I use the water from the condenser instead of the expensive ironing water. It does the job and doesn't cost anything, whereas the ironing water is really expensive. * If I have vegetables that are coming to the end of their life, I chop them up and use them to make stock which I can freeze and use later for soup or in gravy. * I tend to buy shop's own brand everything (apart from loo roll lol) as it is just as good as the brand names, and often less than half the price. * When my compost bin arrives, all my vegetable peelings will go in there, which will generate my own organic compost. * At the moment, I am saving seeds from peppers, apples, oranges etc, so that next year I can plant them in my organic compost and hopefully get some fruit or veg from it. * On the way home from school, there is a bramble bush. The kids love to pick them and we take them home, wash them, and they have a nice pudding of ice cream and free fruit! (and it's good for them!). Next week we are going for a walk in the forest and taking a big basket to see if we can pick enough free brambles to make some jam! * I almost forgot! I save coupons for everything! Some supermarkets in UK will accept the coupons whether you buy the product or not! A little bit saved without extra spending is always welcome! What about you guys? What are you doing to save money? It would be interesting to find out!
