I just went apple picking the other day and got MacIntosh apples. They are my favorite. It was such a nice day too. I go every year to get my Macs (and the cider donuts.)

i tend to love great canadian macintosh apples because i love the taste. my sister in law has an apple orchard, so we often go there and help pick apples, then haul them over to the cider press and get some fresh cider (it has to be boiled before you can drink it though!)

the apples you enjoy ARE canadian macs (the strain of apples was started in the anopolis valley in British Columbia, Canada by mr macintosh about 100 years ago!

Granny Smith apples are great also. They are crisp to eat with a pleasantly tangy taste. They are also good for pies.

That is another of my favorites, but I don't think they have them at the orchard I go to. They are so good and tart. Yum
