I cannot keep this dog in my yard any way except a chain.(He only conquers the chain about once a month!) He climbs the fence, he climbs the kennel, he digs under the fence and when he does get out of the yard he doesn't go anywhere.LOL I think it is just a challenge for him. But we do live on a busy road and I'm afraid he'll get hit if I just let him run. And I hate leaving him chained up all the time. Any idea?

Give up now.
We have a Siberian Husky, she regularly broke chains, dug or climbed out, under over.
You have an escape artist on hand and nothing will keep that dog safely secured.
Finally we resorted to "heavy duty clothes line" and replace it when it starts getting too chewed.
The "invisible" fences will be invisible for this dog - forget them - huskies do not learn from pain. One whiff of a deer, and even solid fence gets climbed, jumped, dug under or chewed.

Hi Wicked
You're right the invisible fence didn't work! LOL As bad as I hate it the only partial success has been a shock collar. Both huskies stay in most of the time now. They still occassionally venture out but it has had more results than anything else I have tried.
Thanks for the response.

Huskies are really born wild, you have to train them, and it takes them years to mature. They're really close relatives of wolves so they howl or dig or they're just simply energetic. It;s good that you don't let your husky out of yard always, or he'll get used to it then he'll keep on running when he gets out next. Just play with him in the yard and let him get used to you. :)
