How do you feel if you see people throwing rubbish out the car window?

I really get frustrated when I see people do this. What is the problem with waiting until they get home or near a bin? It is so bad for the environment and really rude. How do you feel when you see this yourself? Have you ever had the chance to say something to someone that did it? How did they react?

Mad,I get mad at thm, there are bins all over the place, theres no need for it,and the worst offenders are the smokers, they keep throwing their cig ends out of the car windows, when the wind is blowing the darn cig ends blow back, and it wont be the first time that a cig end has blown into my face, and ive had to stop and get off of my bike .

hi jay, i really get irritated when someone does that. they should have the sense that they are making the environment dirty. how would they feel when someone throws rubbish into their house. i hate such kind of people. they don't think about the environment and that they are polluting their surroundings.

I have always told my children to hang on to there garbage until we get home as there really is no need to throw you garbage outside . Why would you want to litter an area where you live or you know others live just for the sake of getting rid of a piece of paper . If it bothers one that much they can stop at any convience store or garage to get rid of the garbage in there vechile .
How would they like it if someone dumped there garbage in there front yard . I bet these people would not be happy to have to clean up the mess and the truth is someone has to go around and clean up all this garbage that is being throw out the window .

Hi, It is a good lesson for the kids to learn! I don't understand either why some people did it! And I agree that they wouldn't be happy if someone throw garbage in there front yard! Maybe what's in their head is that someone will pick or clean the garbage. Thank you so much for sharing and for the response.

I get ticked off as well. Its pointless and lazy. I had a friend in the habit of throwing his trash out my car window. Needless to say he was stopped from riding in my car. I repeatedly asked him not to and i had a little bag for trash in my car and he refused to use it.

This is my biggest pet peeve, I tell my kids there is a trash can at home, or I'm sure there is one wherever we are going at the moment. so hang onto it, and I also keep a plastic bag in my car just for this, there is no reason to toss it on the ground, for others to pick up. it's not good for the environment nor does it look good. so keeping plastic bags in my cars, and having one on hand at all times help me and our trash days. I have had my kids go to parks to pick up trash and make them understand how it feels to pick up after people who throw trash out, and now they don't have to be told to throw it in the garbage where it belongs, and yes i have told people about it, and I got positive remarks about it, so yes when I get a chance to say something, nicely, it works out for me. but it's not a good habit to have.

I don't make a practice of littering. It is not a good habit at all. I have seen people throw trash onto the ground and also out of car windows. It is not proper behavior at all.
I like to wait and put trash in a bag and then later place it in a trash can. I don't want to make the environment around me unsightly. I have to live here!
I don't really remember ever having a chance to say anything to anyone about littering but if I did I am not sure if it helped.
