Do you like your Dentist?

When I was younger I had a bunch of problems with my teeth. I had to have a lot of cavities filled. I think that is why I was so afraid of going to the dentist. My pedi dentist right before he would give us the "Bee Sting" as he called it, would hold us down to the chair with his elbow on our shoulders. It would scare me so bad. I think if I would have had a better kinder dentist growing up I wouldn't be so afraid of them now.

yes, i like my dentist very much. my daughter is really afraid of going to the dentist. she dont like injections. but when i brought her to our dentist and have her check her teeth my dentist let her feel comfortable. when my daughter got the experience ofcleaning and even having her teeth with cavities take out. the dentist of course uses injection for an anesthisia she was really frightened. but because my dentist knows what to do she was comforted. by the way my dentist is actually my cousin. thats why my daughter little bit behave because it is his uncle.

That is good that your daughter is comfortable with your cosuin as her dentist. I wish I had someone in my family like that. Thanks for the responses.

No i do not like my dentist. Whenever i use to visit i found her very patronising. She would not listen to what you had to say. As far as she was concerned she is always right and will not see the views of other.
My children also do not like her after she tryed to do some work on my 15 years old mouth and had not numbed his mouth properly. It left him in alot of pain since then he has refused to visit the dentist.
When i was a child i had a lovely kind gentle dentist. I wished he never retired as he would have been great with my children.

I had a similar thing happen when I was younger. The dentist instead of helping my teeth made them worst so he could squeeze more money out of me to correct it. Even though now I have a good dentist I still hate going and will avoid it as much as possible.

I hate when I have to go to the dentist, but I Like him... He is funny and have a really great (read HOT!!) assistent! lol

hi there,
for some reason, i like going to the dentist because i like it when they clean my teeth and make sure they are free from cavities. it is expensive but i always try to get checked at least twice year, but i still wish i could have more than that.
