My boyfriend and I have been dating for a little over 2 months and it seems like every time we are having a conversation he always ends up dragging the conversation into some kind of video game. For example over the weekend we were talking about the government and what we do if we could change it, and he starting talking about this game called Metal Gear Solid. I don't mind talking about his interests its just I'm tired of talking about video games. Don't get me wrong I like video games and I do play some games with him. I would just like to talk about something else.
Do any of you have this problem? If you what do you do.
I seriously need some help. This is really affecting our relationship in a bad way.

maybe he really obssessed on his video game and he finds boring to talk about government. I think you need to start a very interesting topic about government which can catch his interest and listen to you. Or you going to suggest him to take a break from talking about video game and talk another topic.

I am a gamer myself, let me get that out there.
That being said, he talks about it because he's interested in it. And generally people who are excited about something (regardless of what it is) try to steer conversations toward talking about what they are excited about.
If you value the relationship, I suggest grinning and bearing it, maybe even trying to play the games with him. They can be quite enjoyable.
You can also try to find out about his other interests... maybe you'll find something you both enjoy thoroughly.
Good luck.

Tell him that you're tired of always talking about video games. Tell him stuff you're interested in and hint to him that he should start talking about that stuff.
