How many true friends do you have?

We all have friends but which are the ones that have been true to you through all types of situations you have encountered. My grandmother always told me that true friends are very hard to find and that if you ever bump in to one you should value them. I have maybe one true friend who has always been there for me through thick and thin the rest are just friends. And you how many do you have?

Your Grandmother is right, they are very hard to find and if a person is lucky enough to find a true one then they should treasure them. In answer to your question I have no true friends, I have never come across that special someone that I could class as a true friend.

Thank you for your response and for answer towards the topic, well I really did not have any true friends until I had my daughter because that is when I saw everyone's true colors. I am sure that you will come across someone when you least expect it and the person you least expect it good luck. If not don't worry you still have me,myself, and I as one of the people commented before :0) and that is many don't you think?

i agree with ur grandma... really in today's cut-throat competitive world it is really hard to find a true friend... indeed there is so much more self-interest involved in people's actions.. but still i think i've earned myself quite a few true friends, who laugh, who cry with me.. who are there for me anytime...
but again i feel relationships are like an echo... u get back what u give out...
the more friendly and open and willing u are.. the more people would be open and true to u..

That is great that you do not just have one but a few true friends that is great and from what you wrote they have been there for good,sad,funny, and all times you have needed them the most that is great. Thank you for your response

Well that sounds great too* there is no one who knows you best huh? You do not have to waste breathe expressing what is going on, me, myself, and I already know what is up and are there to support you in every form they can.

I really don't have many friends let alone close friends. My family has been moving around a lot in the last seven years and I can't really sustain any long lasting friendships.
I am glad that I have found myLot members to speak with on a regular basis. There are nice people here and good friends from different backgrounds of the world.

Thanks for your response and that happened to me a lot when I was younger because my family would move from state to state not even long enough to establish any type of friendships better yet long lasting and since I am farely new still here thanks for the heads up about the mylot members.

I am sure like a lot of people I just have a lot of people that I know rather than what I would call friends,like many people time over the years has been rationed and we gradually drift away from our friends,when the kids were small I was always out and about with my friends,but time moves on ,and the family takes preference.

Maybe I think I have many friends in my life. Everyone who helped me in the past of my life deserve my ture friend, sincerely thanks them.
