Jerry Gordon, our esteemed colleague and former ACT! for America board member, has for months been working behind the scenes with Joseph Shahda, our colleague who monitors terrorist websites, urging action that would force YouTube to remove videos that depict terrorist violence.
As part of that effort Jerry has been in regular contact with Senator Joe Lieberman’s office. Senator Lieberman sent a letter to Google/YouTube last May asking that such videos produced by al Qaeda and other terrorist organizations be pulled from the site.
We’re delighted to report that last Thursday, September 11th, Senator Lieberman’s office announced that YouTube had pulled the offending videos and would no longer allow such videos to be posted.

It's about time! You'd think an operation as large and popular as YouTube would have taken that initiative without having to be coerced.

It is a good thing to. I hope it does not go far that anyone who wants to warm America about moral decay is also pulled . I know there are a lot of people who hate Christians and they would want to use this as an excuse to pull Christian videos from Youtube. We all know how their minds work. But I do not like videos from terrorist organizations. They should be monitored by the CIA, the law, military, and those in the Patriot Act, not just go so anyone can watch them.

Wonderful! Al Qaeda needs to be stopped. What do they think they're doing on the internet anyway? That's the one disadvantage to freedom of speech. What they are doing is illegal, and Youtube had every right to pull Al Qaeda videos, since they are detrimental to the entire world!
