Using conditioner accidentally

Picture this, you're in the shower and you're all wet already. You grab the shampoo and start putting it on your head. A few strokes and you realize, it's not bubbling. you grab the bottle again and look at it closely, you realize, it's actually shampoo! LOL! Then you realize that there IS no shampoo around. Have this ever happened to you? I think in my 30 years of existence, it has happened to me quite a few times! LOL! I'm more careful now and I make sure I never wet myself unless everything I need is within reach.

That has happen with me several times that I realized I wasn't able to grab the shampoo but instead the conditioner. Though I don't really mind it at all since I don't shampoo my hair everyday but I do use conditioner everyday. But I make sure that before going to the bathroom to have my bath I would usually bring everything I need with me. Happy mylotting!!!

I have done that a couple of times I have often thought it would be a good idea for the companies who make the shampoo and conditioner should make the " shampoo' & "Conditioner" in large print as not many people wear their glasses in the shower...

i hasn't happened to me yet since I don't use hair conditioner that often and I'm always on-the-go type. Hair conditioners need to stay in my hair for 5 mins before rinsing. If ever I would use it, my hair conditioner is different from my shampoo. have a great day!

I think this has happened to just about everyone at least once! I have done it in the reverse and had to rinse shampoo all over again. But then I guess that is like starting the washer and adding your clothes and realizing there is no laundry detergent!

Hi jammyt
It happened to my mum once. We went to a hotel for 3 days 2 nights
stay. My mum stayed another room with my second sister, my mum
can't read, so she wouldn't know which one is shampoo and which
one is conditioner. In the evening when we had dinner together,
she asked me why the hotel shampoo is very creamy and no bubble.
I told her maybe she had wrongly use a conditioner instead.
Later after the dinner I went up to her room, and she showed me
the bottle...TRUE ENOUGH, it is the CONDITIONER!
I then told her that the conditioner is to condition the hair
after shampoo. Then she laugh...
All the ebst and do keep in touch :)

I remember the first time I have visited Singapore 20 years back. Clairol shampoo was available only in the gray market those time.Being Clairol my favorite I bought Clairol in a mall and while returning by ship I just wanted to try my new shampoo in the bath room.To my surprise there was no sud at all.I wondered why and had a peek at the bottle to find that I have bought the conditioner in stead of shampoo in my enthusiasm
I was so disappointed. Now in my country all the leading brands of the world are freely available in the Malls.

I have a friend who actually uses hair conditioners to wash her hair in between shampoos. She says that too much washing with shampoo dries up that hair from its natural oil, she alternates using conditioners and shampoos. I duno if conditioners are effective in cleaning the hair, I haven't tried using them before.

It never happened to me before :) I think that would be because my conditioner isn't in a bottle. It's in a sort of plastic container that has a wide mouth (like a bowl or something). I scoop the conditioner up instead of squeezing it from a bottle - it's actually a hot oil conditioner that salons use. I use that because they're cheaper :)
Thanks for the response on my discussion!

yah, that happened to me way way back.i was just aroung 7 years old back then.We were trained to take a bath ourselves at an early age.One time,i was taking a bath.
We were using shampoos in sachets.I knew what shampoo was,but i was not yet introduced to what a conditioner is.So apparantly,my mom left a left over shampoo sachet(i thought it was).and i ended up using it.It was not as bubbly as the shampoo, which made me wonder.I finished my bath and asked my mom why her shampoo was not bubbly. She laughed and introduced me to the conditioner!lol
