Funny how cats eats insects "La Negra" ate both a grass hopper and a praying mantis, I was fortunate to take a picture of La Negra my black cat toying with the grass hopper before it's death in the clutches of her mouth. Does any-one have insect eating felines? if you do please tell me your story.

I have two cats and a while ago we used to leave the door open so they could wander in and out when they wanted, until one day a cat brought a rabbit inside. I was walking out the toilet and the cat was on the floor at my feet with a baby rabbit in her mouth she dropped it and it began trying to hop away but it couldn't stand up. Now one of the cats eats part of the rabbit heads. As rabbits are a pest in Australia this isn't a problem.

I had a siamese cat many years ago that would catch grasshoppers and line them up by the door outside. I never saw him eat any though, he would just collect them and meow at me so I would see the gifts he brought me. I have a cat now that goes nuts if he sees a fly or anything flying around. He does catch the flies and eats them. I had a cricket in the house once and he sat there watching it. When it would hop, he would hop too. It was really cute to watch. I really don't think he ate it though.
