Since our computer was reformatted many times, I don't know whether I have saved my drafts to any folders/sites that might have my drafts. I have already chapter 1 finished and chapter 2 started but now I couldn't find them. I still have the summary here in the house somewhere because I have printed it for a friend to read it. What shall I do?!

If your really sure that you have it on your computer, you can search it for the title of that chapter. If you think there are fragments of it left on your computer, you can ask a computer person to try to salvage part of it for you. Otherwise, Im sorry but you're completely out of luck and have to start over.........

If you reformatting your computer, your draft is lost forever. You have to start from the beginning. You may have to check your computer because you really should not have to reformat it that often, maybe twice a year at the most. To avoid it, you need to backup. Get on an online backup like Briefcase for Yahoo or get some floppies, Cdrs, DVDs, or a flash drive. As soon as you have finished for the day, back up the story and put it someplace not near the computer like in your purse. Then you will have no problem.

It shouldn't matter that you reformatted your hard drive previously, no matter how many times. If you reformatted your hard drive with the folder of your drafts on it however, it is now gone. If you did that, I don't know what you were thinking... you shouldn't be having to reformat frequently. But if you know you're going to reformat, you need to backup your computer first or all your files will be lost.
