why is it that men don't listen? they ask you to talk with them because they want to, but the conversation usually ends up as if you're talking to a wall or it's always you who initiates the conversation. i think they need to think about the word "interaction".lolz!

It actually not in a guys make-up to listen or so I think. I think men are programed to say what they think and mean while we women talk in codes and when our men cannot figure out our codes we feel like they don't listen to us.

We have short attention spans and selective hearing. Plain and simple! We always seem to get approached for conversations when we are engrossed in something like TV or the computer too so end up drifting off into another world rather than really hearing everything that is being said. It all comes down to timing I think!

thanks for the info. i really do think guyz have short attention span. it just somehow frustrates me when my boyfriend calls me on the phone coz he said he wants to talk to me but eventually doesn't pay any attention at all to what i'm saying. well, that's life and i kinda got used to it anyway. thanks for responding. happy mylotting! :)

Men are problem solvers or at least we like to think we are. If we can't "solve" something then we either get frustrated or turn off, or both. Or if theres no problem to solve, then we can adopt the attitude, whats the point in talking. It's a genetic flaw, or maybe its pragmatic way of thinking, as my mother used to say if you've got nothing to say, don't say anything. My girlfriend obviously never heard this :)
