where did your name come from?

my name is Chen Sihua,i bet you can't understand it.it is a chinese name.my father took it for me.it means my father love my mother.haha....

mine came from the name of the patron saint who had the same birth date as mine =). i think i have also shared this back in my grade school days.

my name was made my my mom and dad, that's for sure..hahaha they were just looking for nice names and combined it all. i have 3 names and i like them. my mom and dad only have one name, and they were not happy about it. especially my mom..she got her name from ana almanac, by her parents and she doesnt like how it sounded, so when it was her turn to name me, she make it real nice..well, she doesnt want me to hate my name too!

My real name is based on my aunt's name. This particular aunt is the eldest sister of my mother. She is known to be notorious in a way that she would be too frank to tell in front of you the things she likes or does not like. I am afraid I am becoming like her in a worse manner.

When i asked my mother when my name came from then she explains to me. My name came from my father's name and my mother's name.It's a combination of thier name and and when my mom gave birth on me its a noon time but it has a rain shower so its combination of day and rain .i find it unique and sounds posh.

I agree with you our name has its own origin. My aunt gave me my name and i like it coz it's very uncommon/unique. My aunt got my name from an evaporated milk brand back in the early 80's, out of my curiosity, i researched for it co'z even my aunt did not know where the company extracted their brand's name. And finally found the answer, the company got their branding from a cow's name in New Zealand. They named it after the cow since the cow produces plenty of milk and said milk product came from that cow. Interesting isn't it?

my name comes from the Bible,i don't know why my parents give that name to me.Yup i encounter that situation when i was elementary even high school.Actually i have two names too both of that comes from the Bible.

My name is Rose Lyn. My first name came from dad. He decided that I was cute, pink and wrinkly like a Rose. My middle name comes from my mother. Her real full name is Toy Lyn. Her name "Toy" came from a street name that the hospital was on in which she was born. Here's a funny for you. My last name is Cox. When she married my dad her name became Toy Cox.....funny trivia. i have two names also, krishna carmela, i was born on 1986 EDSA time, and the Aquino's are famous and all that, so i was named after the ex prsidents daughter who were kris and added HNA for it to be unique, but now maybe acidentally thought im indian but im not, the carmela was supposed to be camella a flowers name, all of us the girls are named from flowers but accidentally the spelling was incorrect...happy lotting!!!

my name is just a mistake. when i was a born, one of my relative give me a name, but when my father copy it and take it back home, it was wrong. but no one notice this untill the age when i was nine years old. i still remembered the situation when i knew this. it was the opening ceremony, and the president did not one of the Chinese character of my name. and he called my class adviser. so i was called to atage and i stand in front of all the teachers and students. the president told me that he can not find the chinese character of my name in any dictionary.on my god! how could this happened? after that i change my name!
