How much gonna cost to see the whole world?

I traveled around the world for just over one year in 1993 and 1994. My route was London-Los Angeles-Hawaii-Fiji-Sydney-Adelaide-Cairns-Darwin-Singapore-London. My airline tickets on Virgin Atlantic and Qantas cost about one thousand pounds. I stayed in youth hostels and backpacker hostels, stayed in cheap guest houses and did some camping in a tent. I traveled from Singapore down to Sumatra and then up to Malaysia. There are many other routing that are possible but none of them see the whole world. It is possible to see much of the world during a lifetime not on one trip. Some countries are expensive and other countries are cheap to travel around in. Japan is pricey whilst India is a bargain. The sky is the limit when it comes to how much traveling costs.
