Can you stick to a budget?

Is it easy for you to stick to your budget? Like I only make $300 a week and I have to plan out what bills I need to pay that week, put so much away for savings and then have very little left for the rest of the week. I always find that I am broke like 2 days before I get paid again. I really try to not waste my money on stupid things and really stretch my dollar. Can you stick to it or are you always broke by the end of the week?

It is so hard to stick to my budget! We get money once a month at the beginning of the month and it seems we're always broke by the end of the month. I can't wait to get a job! Right now, my hubby needs me to be his full time caregiver as he has a brain injury and is not to be left alone. I've been looking into finding some type of day program for him that can watch after him and give him things to do and look forward to. I hope that one of the places I've looked into will give us a call soon. It's just too hard to make it on that income alone.

Wow. I hope that your husband recovers. He might not like the idea of having to go to a babysitter but you need to get out there and work too! Hope things work out for you.

hi! MyLinnsLynnn, I understand what are you feeling now, because we have the same problem in different situation. I am too hard to stick with my budget. The reason why i am joining online contest, forums, discussion and the like... Hope everything will be fine for us. All we have to do now is to work hard and we should always put God first above all things.

It is rather hard to stick to a budget when you have more bills than money. I am disabled and I live on a fixed income each month. There are months, I have to decide whether to eat or buy medicine. There is no hope for a luxury. I spend my life broke and I see no chance of it looking up in the future either with the price of things rising at alarming rates.

Yes we do try out to stick to budget an most of the time we do manage to what we have done few years back is we decided to keep a minimum of 5000RS in the bank and stop any expenses if its going to go below that and wonders of wonder after paying for essentials we did manage to keep it for few months then we increased it slowly by 1000 ver six months now we have reached till 10,000 and we have stopped at that, now we keep a minmum of this in the bank and spend any time over it , we just postpone our shopping until next month if we are going to dip in to this amount and in ase of emergencies only we dig n to this amount but next month again we try and balance the loss. So far this system has worked and we do know how much we spend weekly on groceries and we do get enough to left for a dinner by the end of the month.

First of all I have never been able to stick to any budget. Then my monthly pay is usually done within the first week of the month. I depend on extra work and borrowings to live through a month. I've done this for years. You're not alone in the world.

I strictly stick to my budget because my earnings are too little. I have many very important things to be prioritized. One is the tuition fee of my sister. It's too expensive. I am the only one shouldering that because my parents can't work anymore. I need to budget for our foods and allowances. Still I have little savings. Sometimes, I tend to disregard my budget beacuse I am not a self-disciplined person. It's only sometimes.

I am stretching my budget of 100 pesos a day. I separate my allowance to my savings but still I do spend my saving with mundane things.

i try to, but i am not really that good at it. whenever i see something i like, i buy it. but now, i am already trying to control myself. sometimes i tend to buy things i cant use. and it's a waste of money. i am trying to get a part of my salary for my savings before spending what's left now. guess i really have to work it hard and earn. having no money is really not easy. and i dont want to be poor forever.hehehe i keep savings already and the money that i earn here, i also put it in my savings bank.. happy!

My husband gives me a certain amount of money for household expense and I make a list and plan accordingly.I make sure that I save some money and finally I end up putting in the savings account or incase if there is any emergency in the coming month I use that money.I maximum avoid spending unnecessary and I try to save the money. i stick to my budget, come what may. that way it prevents me from getting into trouble. also i set aside a small amount for emergency expenses. over a period of time this grows. but that is not to be used for anything untill an emergency situation arises. when one is sufficiently well-off, budgets can be relaxed to s better level where one has to learn to spend a little extra once in a while. that spending defnitely fires up the spirit in us to earn more, but positively. that way you will never go broke, and will find always surplus at hand.

ME, what I do, if I have a bill, I put aside something for it on my first paycheck of the month, so that I have money for other things like food and other necessities I need at home. And then I have a little money for my everyday expense until I reach my next payday. Then on the second paycheck, I will do the same thing again. As long as the bill is timed with my paycheck. If not, I adjust until I am in tune with my payments and my expenditures for myself, my home and other stuff.

I can stick to the budget I make. I will make emergency section in my budget in case I need money from emergency situation. I will make budget and follow the budget. I won't spend for unnecessary things. I can plan my spending because I usually will make list before I go buy things. As student, I don't have to so many spending to do. I can save some money at the end of the month.

I can stick to my budget, usually what i do is i list down only important items. And if ever i have some other things i needed to buy i see to it that there is still enough money left for the rest of the week.If ever that item can still wait what i do is i plan of buying it the next paycheck just to avoid short of budget.

before it was easy for me to stick in my budget but now, i amhaving a hard time because there are lots of foods that i want to eat, my budget is ruined by my food trips. since i am on training, i only receive a very small allowance, sometimes i do not eat but sometimes i cant help but eat a lot, so at the end of the week, instead of saving enough, i saved too little.

I usually keep about 20% of gross salary for savings, the rest are used to help my family out and enjoy myself. I budget by carrying very little with me, helps me think twice before spending and not use any credit cards even though i own 1. So far, i've managed to stick to the budget, and will only deviate if it is because of my family.. example, taking my brothers or sister out for food once in a while.
