What reaction do you have when you eat wheat?

When I found out a couple of years ago that I was gluten intolerant, I had no idea what change this would be in my eating habits. Take a look at the ingredients of the foods you eat sometime. There are very few foods that don't have wheat in them. Even Twizzlers have wheat. That used to be my favorite traveling snack. I don't have celiac, which I think affects the digestive system. Mine is called dermatitis herpetiformis which affects my skin. I first found out about my condition when I got little blisters on both elbows, both knees and both cheeks (and not the cheeks on your face). They itched like crazy and I would get in the shower and use a scrub brush to scratch them. It was crazy. As soon as I quit eating wheat, they went away. I have found that now I can eat little wheat occasionally without any side affects.
