Have you ever gone to one? Did you find them helpful? My husband has been feeling like he has been in a rut for some time now and he HAS to make some changes. He is starting to get very unhappy and he isn't sure what to do. So he decided to call a life coach. His first meeting is tonight. I really don't think this guy is going to tell him anything different than anyone else has. I thin it is good my husband is trying to fix his problems, but on the same note, I don't see what this guy has to offer or could tell him that 100 other people haven't told him already.

I went to one because he use to be my counslor before he became a life coach..Unfortunately when he became a life coach, my insurance no longer covered it so I couldn't afford it.. But I did have a session and I think they are great, and would love to go back if I can..

He went yesterday and he likes the guy, but I think he isn't either a) a good fit or b) not a good life coach. Thus far he has just told him a bunch of stuff that I and his Dad have told him before. Disagreed that the military should even be an option. Told him that since he can't do what he wants, maybe he should think about a field that interacts with the one he wants (which is something we talked about 2-3 years ago and have revisited multiple time and he isn't happy with). I am sure the guy was just trying to offer different in sights, but between me, his dad and my family I don't know if this guy has a new spin he could put on things - especially for $100/hr! He is going to one more session with the guy, but I have a feeling it won't go past that. Besides the fact that we really can't afford it.

Yeah, the price is high..But if you could afford it, even though it has been said before, hearing it from a life coach could cause someone to reflect on it differently and so they can change..

My husband thinks this guy can help. I am trying to find the money so he can go right around the first of October. For me it is so hard to watch him flounder around and not have a path to follow. His "topic" for tonight was "do you think we could move to Europe to go to college?" Don't get me wrong that would be a great experience, once again, we can't afford for him to go to schools stateside half way across the country, how are we going to get to Europe. Then a few minutes later he asks me about some Marine Corps stuff I found out about.
