I think Sarah Palin has an interesting name, and its meaning reflects the kind of person and the kind of leader she is. T he name Sarah is a Hebrew word which means "noble woman." The name Palin is a Greek word which means "renewal." I think her name fits her. What do you think?

Her name fits her like a glove, a tight form fitting glove not one of those bulky snow gloves.

Sarah Palin has a nice ring to it but really I don't feel that names mean much. The only times when names mean something is when some stupid parent calls their kid one of those stupid names - I will never understand how some parents can be so stupid as to inflict a ridiculous name on their children (some celebrities have a tendency to do this).

I think Sarah Palin's name fits her personality well. I doubt people's names determine what kinds of people they will be or that people consciously fulfill the definitions of their names, but I do think it's interesting when someone's name fits them with such precision.

I do not think that her parents had that in mind when they named her. It could be that her family has Jewish ancestry as well as Greek. It does seem to fit. People do try to act like what their name means. So I suppose she does try to do what her name means. I think parents have to be careful in what they call their children. My dad changed his name, but he forget his name was the physical characteristics, not the personality.

I doubt whether people consciously live up to their names, but in Biblical times names were considered prophecies of sorts. I just think it an interesting thing that her name sums up her person so well.
