ok, I know a lot of you are like UH, YEAH! DUMB QUESTION! LOL but I am talking cartoons or things FOR children... do you have a preference of what they watch?
For example, I will not let my child watch teletubbies and barney - those shows drive me crazy! LOL... he can watch anything else that is on those channels (since they are childrens channels) but I will not let him watch them lol
Anyone else like this? Or am I just a crazy person who is not letting my child watch a show?

I don't let my kids watching anything that doesn't have some kind of educational or lesson teaching message. I don't let them watch spongebob, teletubbies ( that show needs subtitles just to understand what they are saying) Yo Gabba Gabba (simply because I think it's the dumbest show ever made!!) or alot of cartoons that have alot of violence. They can watch things like seasame street, blues clues, wonder pets( teaches teamwork), backyardians ( teaches to use their imagination), little bear, things like that.

Yes obviously we should not allow them to watch anythign they want because at today's date this television is affecting the children's mind a lot...
I know it is teaching them a lot but I dotn think everything is to be watched by them...
Some children i have seen that they will be living in the world of the movies onyl they will never come out...
I guess that is only reason for increased crime....

yeah, i mean, i care about what they watch, some are not so good, but i let them watch it anyway since i'm watching it with them or have seen most of it. if i see something that is wrong, i make sure i talk with them and tell them, remember its not real and its not nice to do something like that. they get it for the most part. one show i can't stand is Sponge Bob Square Pants. i think it looks like an acid trip. another one is Teletubbies and Barney, but its more of a personal thing because they did catch one or 2 episodes of Teletubies, but at least they stayed away from the Purple devil.
right now, my 6yr old is into Discovery Channel. he watches other things like Cartoon Network, Disney, and Nick Jr as well as Noggin which is all good and educational shows. I'm alright with disney things and CN at times has okay shows. although that new Flapjack one is a little questionable and weird, but no real harm, thats just how cartoons are going now. i like to watch some cartoons with them too to a point where i'm all into it like Ben 10. But my kids watch Discovery Channel and sometimes even Food Network, i'm so proud of them. Because of that my son is telling me he wants to invent things when he grows up. it makes me smile.

do1 experiment: give d TV remote to ur Baby. for a while hide ur self from Baby & Check it What Does he Actually try to Surf on TV & den ull come2 know in which erra his Interest is. & for a while let baby enjoy.
by d way is it Baby or Baba.
cause most of d time male & Female both have different interest.
Don't create Generation Gap, but be Specific when it comes2 Right Choice.
Good Luck.
