When I was younger I always wanted to learn how to play the piano. I took lessons and then when I was finally starting to get it and starting to read the sheet music, My teacher moved away. for one reason or another that was the end of it.Now i wish I would have learned? It seems pretty cool when someone is playing their instrument lol
do you play a musical instrument?how long did it take you to learn?

No, I am not musically inclined, I played in band class in school when I had to. I started with the flute but I could barely make a sound out of it so my band teacher encouraged me to change instruments so I changed to trumpet and that wasn't much better! My grandpa could pick up any instrument and play it and he did, but I guess I didn't inherit his talents!

your talents lie elsewhere. Music isn't what makes someone talented

I played the Flute and Piccolo for 7 years, I still play every now and then, and it took me 7 years to learn how to play, LOL!
No, I knew how to play within a month, but there's constantly room for improvement and competition and learning with any instrument.
I also kind of play the drums and guitar and keyboard. I am getting better and better everyday at the drums but the guitar i can only really do chords and rhythm with songs and keyboard i do my own thing.

I also took piano lessons when I was a kid. The timing was wrong because I was too young and didn't have any interest. I wanted to be outside with the boys playing baseball. Was such a tomboy...lol My mother sang and played the piano and my father was a local musician once they settled in Missouri. He played the bass fiddle later on in years. They met in showbusiness way back in the 1930's and eventually moved to the St. Louis area. My father continued his musical career but my mother did not. I can dance but that's where the bus stops!

Playing guitar or piano has always been my frustration. When I was younger I tried learning the guitar but my fingers are not that long so I was finding it hard to reach some chords. I tried to enroll in a piano lesson but my parents was not able to sustain the expenses and therefore I was not able to get enough knowledge. However, my son inherited my passion for music. I therefore bought him a guitar at the age of 4 and I hired a guitar tutor to help him. Now that he is 21, he is already a guitar expert. Oh he could play the guitar even when he's eyes are closed, name any piece and he could do it. Oh yes, you are right, it really looks cool!

I played clarinet for 8 years, violin for 4, alto saxaphone for 2 and flute for about 6 months. I completely stopped playing any instruments besides guitar hero after high school. I took about 1 year to get the hang of the clarinet and after that it didn't take long to catch onto the other instruments. I wish I would have kept going especially the violin. I really loved that instrument.

I took lessons to play the organ as well. I was almost at the final stage when my teacher got married and moved to another place and yes that was the end of my music studies as well. But Thank God I mastered it. Now I can play the Organ & Keyboard and yes me and my sister just love to sing. We enjoy playing the keyboard and singing with it.
It took me 2 years to learn. Good Luck.
