How did you find out you were pregnant? How did you feel about it? Who was the first person you told?
I found out I was pregnant in July of 2007. I had gone home from work early, because it was slow. I decided to take a pregnancy test, because I was a few days late & we'd been wanting to try to have a baby. So, I took one, figuring it would be negative. Well, when I looked at it, it definitely wasn't! I called up my boss (who's also my good friend) and told her, because I didn't know what else to do. I went back to work & we talked for awhile. I didn't know what to do, because my husband was gone at training in VA at the time (for the Marines), and I wasn't able to contact him (besides letters, and I really didn't want to write him & tell him I was pregnant) for a couple weeks still. I didn't want him to find out after every one else did, but I also didn't want to wait to tell people (family), so after a couple days of going through my options, I decided to call up the base & try to get in contact with him. I had to go through about 4 or 5 Marines to get to him, and at the last couple I started crying, between my emotions, and just wanting to get in touch with him, and I was nervous, and everything. Finally I got to talk to him (only for 3 minutes, but that's ok!), and I told him. He was pretty shocked; excited but surprised, because he didn't expect to get a phone call from me! I really wished he could've been there with me, but at least we'll always remember how we found out!

I actually did not find out I was pregnant until June 2007 and I was already about 3 1/2 months into my pregnancy. The only reason why I had noticed it was because I slept 22 hours straight once and could not figure out why. When I found out the first person I told was my partner and then my parents.

Now i am married for 8 years and have 3 kids and another one on the way. ;)
For my first pregnancy it was a planned pregnancy. We were married for 9 months before deciding that its time to get a baby. So i took the pregnancy test and it was positive. We also went to the clinic just to confirm with the doctor and because we need to get the referral letter from the doctor as we need to go and see the gynea for our monthly check-up.
For my four other pregnancy (miscarriage at number three), all of them were unplanned pregnancies. I discover that i was pregnant because i was late. I took the pregnancy test and double confirm it with the doctors. My husband was with me during all the time of my pregnancy. SO he was the first to know. I also have the habit of freaking out when i found out that i am pregnant. So i would contemplate whether or not to inform my parents/in-laws about it. I just hate to see the reaction on their face and other peoples' face. In fact, for the current pregnancy ( i am 10 weeks pregnant now), i havent told my parents yet regarding it. But i do inform a few of my friends who are close to me.
One thing that i am quite lucky (?) is because i dont have morning sickness. SO i never discover my pregnancy from any morning sickness.

It was a while ago, but I noticed that I had missed my monthly. I had used an over the counter contraceptive. I talked with my sister first about it. Asking is maybe the contraceptive could have failed or not. My husband was in the Navy, and usually came on every other week end, since he was based not to far. When I told him, he came home the next time he had leave and went to the doctor's with me. We found out we were pregnant, I was not too happy, he was, because I was not really ready for children. As time went on, I became excited about the prospect of becoming a mother. I have no regrets.
