Perfume and Cologne?

There was this question about whether one always wear perfume everytime one's going out. Now the question is which do you prefer perfume or cologne? I used perfume everytime I attend special occasion, I used cologne whenever I go out. And I think cologne is cheaper and more convenient to use because you can splash it all over your body. The good thing about perfume is you can use a drop and you're off to go. what's your say?
