OK! We live in a small town and the nearest big town is twenty miles away. For those who read my last post we are being given a free grooming for our sweet Maltese, Sebastian, tomorrow. Because of the cost of gas my wife and I were planning to spend the morning down their while waiting for the groomer to finish with him. Well! Our oldest daughter, for some unknown reason, decided to take fire science at school. That is just wonderful that this small framed sixteen year old thinks she should be a fireman. So she is taking the class and every now and then has to be taken to the fire house for her class. We get no advanced warning. Today when we picked the kids up from school she announced that she has to go to the fire house tomorrow. She has to be picked up at 9:10 and taken to the fire house and then picked up again at 11:20 to be taken back to the school. Why is not the school providing transportation for one of their own classes? They Should! Shouldn't they. Well! Now my wife is taking Sebastian down to his free grooming while I have to stay home and take the girl to her class. So much for a nice day out with my wife.

Well, hehehe, what a disappointment!! LOL!! I bet this is the first time you felt the school ought to arrange its own transportation? Well, I am surprised, actually. Why doesn't the school arrange its own transportation? Surely they have their own vehicles. Our schools and colleges do, and for any college or school activity, they arrange their own transportation. If you have parent-teacher meets at the school, I think you should raise this point. And do tell us what happens after that. :) Cheers and happy mylotting

We have good ol' governator Arnold to thank for the schools not providing transportation. He cut the budget so much right after getting into office after promising to not touch the schools.

It seems like the school should supply transport or at the very least give advanced warning so that the parents can be prepared.

The only notice we get is the night before. They should provide the transportation. It is a school program. What if I was working? Most people have full time jobs and can not leave during the middle of the day to provide transportation for their children.
