I don't like updates at all. I love my programs, and when I update them, something always doesn't working as it should. If possible, I would never change the programs that worked so well for me in the past, but the world is progressing every day and it isn't possible. Still, I try... For example, I was using mozilla 1, and after I installed version 3, it was a nightmare, so now I use opera, and it's really uncomfortable. some scripts on some sites didn't work anymore correct for mozilla 1, and i can't go back to it. But the version 3 has a few very uncomfortable features, and it does not have all the extensions that I need, and takes so much memory of my computer, that I can't open 30 tabs with long text that I am used too because I love to read, so now I am with opera and am searching for a new browser, because even if opera has some good things, it will never compete with mozilla in logic. I just can't, no matter how much i try, do not get irritated when things work different from mozilla. it seems very illogical.

ya like i mentioned before, for new arriving softwares we also should consider upgrading our system ram and sometimes even processor(motherboard). but new softwares means less bugs, more security. and as far considered softwares get more user friendly as new versions are released but it might have many new features so we might find it difficult to operate on.. thank you for posting.

As hichamov said, I also get my PC updated for the sake of my job. Its a persons personal taste whether to stay updated. But I suggest(and also essential) every one at least upgrade you memory for using the latest software.

I prefer to stick with what I have as it gets expensive upgrading and buying new and staying up to date with technology, because I am happy with what I have and if it works then that will suit me just fine. I am not bothered about new technology, I don't have to rush out to get everything new on the market. I don't like change anyhow so when I get used to something I tend to stick with it, otherwise it gets confusing having to learn new things and keep changing

I would stick with what I have for a while and wait for new products to come out. When my system or my gadgets are way out of date, I'd start upgrading and buying new things. Usually for me, I'd upgrade my phone if there is a new model with a whole lot more features than my current phone not just because there's a new model out there that looks better. I'm more of a functionality type of person.
