What is blogging ?

I think that blogging serves different purposes to different people. For me, it began mostly as a sort of online diary... a place to express myself and put my ideas out there in a concrete format. My first blog was http://thesweetiechronicles.blogspot.com/ and I started it last year. This year I have also started a blog about America's Next Top Model, which is one of my favorite tv shows. Blogging to me is just about sharing ideas and interests with an online community.

For me, blogging is an expression of thoughts, feeling and sharing of experience. However, there are different kinds of blogs like business blogs, information blogs, sports blog and money making blogs. I think that the difference between a blog and a website is that the former is regularly being updated and has more personal approach. Blogging is also a form of socializing with others, meeting new friends and a source of income. There are bloggers who do blog promotion seriously while some are satisfied without it as they only consider blogging as a relief or therapy, that is reduce boredom. Thanks.
