I was just called STUPID by another myLotter!!!!

wow!! how dear that co-mylotter say to you that word, dont be hurt lilybug maybe they just jealous on you, just give them a smile & ignore them, as we know lot of people like that because they dont know how to respect thier own self.that is the reason why they cannot respect others too. Name calling is so unnecessary. I wish that folks would not do that. I am sorry that this happened to you.

Hi there lilybug! I am sorry to hear about your experience. I do not think it is fair for anyone to be called "stupid" especially here at myLot. They may not agree with your ideas or opinions, your actions or the decisions you make. However, they can tell you what you did was not acceptable or what you did was wrong. But being called "stupid" is totally uncalled for. I hope that people here would be more sensitive when it comes to the words they use.

I do think there are some of the myLotters are here to release their stress. I do agree with sconibear to use the report abuse feature if they are too mean. Otherwise, you can just ignore their comments. Do not let them spoil your mood. Happy Mylotting.

whoaa that is a terrible thing. lucky for me that no one has called me that yet. I think that person that called you such is the stupid one, because he just jump into his own conclusions. and in the first place mylot is a place where we share our opinions and ideas.....and together with that we are also obligated to respect this opinions of others. so why does he/she have to make such an unsolicited insult? i just hope that we would all still respect each other here in mylot. because it is actually great to read and learn about what other people around the world think about a certain topic. And in this world, no one has the monopoly of opinion. Each one of us has something to say about certain things. So just go on and just ignore those kind of people. remember "respect begets respect" so even if this was done to you, be polite still. maybe time will come that he/she would realize his/her mistake. Oh those are fightin' words! I would have been matter than a hornet! Yeah, I've had someone insult me for no reason on mylot before. Once I responded by correcting everything this person had accused me of, and he in turn realized how out of turn he had spoken. The other time I won't mention because it was a really awful thing the person said, and they were on my friend list at the time!

I wouldn't let it get to you Lilybug. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion in this world of free will. In their opinion you might be in the wrong. Therefore they think that you are "stupid" for not doing what they think is right. However, in my opinion, even if that is what they think, they do not need to use such words. But, again, they have the right to choose what words they will. If I were you I'd just let it slide off you like water off a duck's back. No need to let one negative comment or opinion wreck your day. Many of us still hold you in high opinion.

Well, you know you're not stupid. Forcing a child to take medicine isn't a good thing. If that person thought you were stupid because you know your child has feelings and will respond better to good treatment, then guess who's stupid? You have two choices. Ignore it, or report it. You certainly don't want to stoop to the other persons level by getting into a name calling match.

In one of the response I posted I was shot back by some of the I think doctor involved with the mentally sick people,, I commented back and beg sorry if my response has hurt ed him any way. Some time it happens and I feel that this fellow has become victim of the mentally sick people and influenced by the circumstances.

thats so mean.=( i had the same experience. once i posted a question about what would your preference be- a kiss or a hug? i got some vague response from another mylotter, saying it is wrong to post such questions and it is unhealthy to answer it. he even told me if i think i was beautiful because he said I am ugly. I dont see any connections between his answers. but i just let it go. as far as im concerned i did nothing wrong to offend anyone in my posts. its his problem if he finds it offensive...

Not at all fair. I know it's a community of various mentalities. Still, that doesn't mean the members here have the liberty to call anyone stupid or something like that. I am very disappointed to hear your story.

I just look for that discussion and the user is bashing on two response I think. The user seems to know a lot about "motherhood" oh well we can give it a negative right? I am new here in mylot and I just notice that new users are either boastful or A hole.. I came up in a discussion where a new user started it and it seems the post is about another post and to me he was saying negative things about the other post, is it just my observation? and also there was a discussion my referrer start asking other users to add me up as their friend and I noticed that old users were more polite than the new members.
