Season Opener

Okay, that was intense. They took away his powers, almost killed him, then gave him his powers back. But it looks like its going to be a good season. Lex and Lana may be gone, as well a Kira from the main credits, but they added some new faces as well as putting Oliver on the credits..yeah i wanted to see more of him.
It seems like this may be the last or 2nd to the last season since he's getting closer to the 'Superman' era. He's already left the farm and taken up the reporter job right across from Louis. Can't wait till the next episode. I wonder who else from the Justice League they'll have guest star on the show?
What are your comments on this new season?

I use to really like that show but I stopped watching awhile back I need to rent the series and catch myself up! But I heard they lost Lex and Lana! I loved lex he was one of my favorite characters. But I was really disappointed when they made the Superman movie without Tom W. to me he is enbodies superman. and the other guy well he doesn't! Not to mention the movies was just terrible!

I would LOVE for them to maybe make the ending of the smallville season into a movie. a TV movie would be okay for me too. I think i read that Lex and Lana (the actors) left because they wanted to pursue other roles so it was actually their choice. i know it was true for lex's character at least. i didn't get to see that superman movie, i wanted to but no time, i want to rent it or something because people aren't saying too many good things about that. i'll probably watch the new batman movie before i'll watch the superman one. Christian Bale is probably one of the BEST batmans there was.

I too wish Tom W had been cast as the movie superman and I hope Samllville lets him learn how to fly this season. I also agree with the Bale batman comment. I rate him as highest so far at being both the bat and bruce. I have always thought Michael was the best Batman, George the best Bruce and Val did the best at being both. Now I have to give the nod to Bale.

Oh, it was terrible! The actor they got to play superman was retarded! He had very few lines. Really the only reason they selected him was because he look a little like Christopher Reid

well i'm a big smallville fan ( though my significant other hates it ) and have just bought the season 7 dvd box set ( awaiting it's arrival ) and i'm hoping this will be a good season but from what you say about the first episode from season 8 it sounds like there isn't many more seasons to come, i do hope however when they finish with smallville that they will consider doing a justice league show and hopefully include tom welling in that as superman as he is a really good actor and has played clark really well over the years so it would be interesting to see how he would handle being superman.
I do hope this isn't the last we see of tom in this kind of roll he has so much talent and would be such a good choice to go into the justice league...
God i can't wait for season 8 to be available on dvd.

i think i just have season 1 and 2 on DVD. i'm a little behind on the buying. those things are expensive and me and my husband want A LOT of dvd's as well as my kids so gotta go slowly. it would be cool to have a Justice league, i know they were talking about but not sure if they're gonna do it. i don't know if they'll use the same actors because i would want it to be placed somewhere in the middle where they have most of their members. i don't know if tom welling would want to do that since he'll get type casted a lot. i haven't seen him in much other things, just cheaper by the dozen. he's a good actor and its just how amazing he looks like a young Christopher reeve.

I used to love watching smallville. I still watch it but I wish they still had lex. Its taking to long. I wish he could start flying. I think it lacks a villians that are worth watching. The last episode about tess and oliver was quite ok. But has been a while since I watch an episode that I like .

I thought it was pretty good even though I wasnt really looking forward to it after the season finalee and lex luthor leaving I didnt think it would be any good I thought how can they follow up to the season finale without lex but it turned out great just like the first 5 episodes of this season.

I thought it was a great episode and a lot better then I expected to be even though I didnt like how they just had clark get a job at the daily planet when he didnt even really go to college only for a semester. But I think this season will be great even though I though it would suck without lex.

yes very intense season opener. I loved it. I like how its leading into his different "identities". Yeah definately wanted to see more of Oliver ;) Was happy to see the justice league come into play. But I must say it doesn't seem the same without lex. I can't wait till the next episode either.
