Does McCain think he deserves to be President from his war acts?

McCain does his best to remind us of his heroism. While I commend him, being a war hero does not mean you should be President. With that logic, Bill Gates should be president, after all isn't he like the biggest philanthropist in the world?

Well some people vote on character issues and thus believe that as someone has been a war hero, that becomes an important qualification. The truth is that nothing that you may have done in the past automatically qualifies you to be president. yes, it can help by telling people about you and being a war hero helps. But what really matters in the end is what you say, how you come across, what are your policies and ultimately, whether people are comfortable with the thought of you being president.

Spalladino, I agree. While the occasional heartless woman might get "vanity" abortions, it's very rare. To most women, it's a very hard decision.

That's a great question. Are war heros great administrators? If you look at the history, the answer is more or less no. War Heros are great at plotting the downfall of the opponents and if you like are great at destroying the opponents, but when it comes to administration and growing their people, very few have made the transition. If you see the history, each culture reaches it's pinnacle under a ruler who was not so inclined to fight wars. Unfortunately, this opens the way for someone else to attack the civilization and ultimately destroy it. Cheers! Ram
