If you have fallen in a public place, where were you and what happened?
I went to Atlantic City by myself one 4th of July. The casino was very crowded, since it was a holiday week end. There were so many people in there and it was getting hot. I usually do not get hot, so when I feel hot I know it is time to get moving. I was trying to get to the door so that I could get to the boardwalk. There were so many people and I could not get pass. Next thing I know is that I am on the floor looking up at people looking down on me. I was taken to the dispensary, my blood pressure was really really low. They gave me a tylenol and some orange juice. A half an hour later they checked my pressure again, it it was rising. They then took me to the front of the line at the buffet, so that I could get something to eat.

Yeah buddy,
When i was in tenth i use to go to the school by my cycle....
So one day what happened is i was about to enter the main gae of the school when i saw so many girls standing by the side n there was the one whom i liked the most so for making some style i tried to ride it with full speed and in stead going through the main gate i tried to pass between to poles. There was very less space between those two poles n then suddenly i was looking at her and she looked at me, i lost my judgement n i hit the pole and i was all over the ground......
And i guess i became the clown at that time....

Hope you were not hurt, but you sure did make an impression on the girl. We have all done silly things, the good thing is we can laugh about them afterwards.
Have a great day!!!

Ah! This question gives me nostalgic memories. Once during my school days, during a republic day parade, we were made to stand under the sun. I also had had a late night and no breakfast, so after sometime I collapsed in front of the whole school. :) It seems that the principal of the school who was giving a speech at that time made a comment "We do not want such weak kids in our school" :) Believe it or not, two weeks later on hockey field, the principal went to shake hands with the team members, slipped and fell and had to walk with a walker for nearly a year :)
Poetic justice!!
Cheers!

Hello sudanlunts. I still remember more than twenty years ago when I was still at college, I had a fall from my bike on my way to my college. It was my own fault because I made a stupid mistake that I tried to see how far I could ride without opening my eyes and it was not far before I fell off my bike. I was so hurt from the falling off my bike. What was lucky to me was maybe nobody saw me fall as it was early in the morning that day. This is part of memory that is hard to escape from me. lol. Good day and take care, friend.

I'm really lucky because this has never happened to me. Ever. I have sturdy legs and a good balance. But I'm also very careful when walking or running in public because falling in front of everyone is my secret fear. I'm always shocked and then amused when someone falls and ends up in a funny position. So I'm expecting the same treatment from others. Anyway, what were you doing in Atlantic City all by yourself?!

I was in Atlantic City alone because I had to work the next day, and my family had gone away for a week. I was not married at the time.

Yes I had!and it was really very embarassing. The thing is,nobody even helped me.
It was enrollment time at La Salle College,Antipolo City, Philippines. We were in Manila at that time. La Salle was, we believed the nearest school since the kids will be traveling the opposite way during rush hour. Even if the school's tuition fee was very expensive, we really had to decide to send the kids there.
The school is located on a mointain side so the school have rolling terrain. There were high and wide stairs all around. My son was in the basketball court as usual,so I had to fetch him. We started going down this huge cemented stairs which had lots of parents at the bottom lining up for the books. From the top, down to the bottom, I fell. My butt bouncing in every step.
Nobody at all helped me. Instead they turned their heads the other way. Grrrrr.
I went home with pain all over.

Must admit i'm one of the most cackhanded people I know always doing daft things falling over being one of them. Never forget couple of years ago bought a brand new pair of stiletto heels was so chuffed with them wore them everywhere. Except this one day when I decided to go shopping in them...bad move!!! It just happened to have been raining the same day and the entrance to the newsagents I hadn't realised had a shiny laminated floor to it. Wonder what happened next? Smack!!!! Wet heels on slippery floor. That wasn't worst of it the tills are situated right by the door so the queue of about ten people must have had a right laugh.
With the shock and humiliation I pulled myself as elegantly as possible up from the dishevled state I was formally on the floor. In my haste though adrenaline had caught up with me and I past out with shock a little further up the isle....if I ever wanted the world to swallow me up that was it LOL

It was 5pm and dark. I was hurrying to get out of the university campus to fetch the bus back home, when I felt my foot glued to a hole in the tarmac and I fell like a log. I ended up with a severey strained ankle and I could not walk properly for about two weeks. I d' prefer not to know who was looking at that time. I am sure they had a good laugh.

Glad you are fine now. I am sure someone saw it and thought that it was funny. How silly we humans are, when we can laugh at someone else's misfortune.

All the time! The last time I fell I was jogging with the dog and my ankle twisted on the curb and I fell right on the street. I got up quickly but everyone saw me and laughed. I laughed too. I've fallen around my house on slippery floors, and one time I fell on the dance floor of a club and caused a domino effect where about 4 others tripped and fell as well. Needless to say I've never gone dancing there again.

yes I have fallen in a public place. Our small town which has a population of about 25,000, has a festival every year. It's really popular in my province and people come from all over for it. That year they put on a laser show which you could imagine was a very popular event especially because they had never put one on. It was in our local park. I don't know how many people were there but it was very crowded. People were leaving, walking up this hill, my friends and I were walking up the hill, my friend was talking to me and asked me a question, but I didn't answer so she turned to look to see if I had got lost in the crowd or fallen behind, well I hadn't fallen behind I had fallen down. My foot had kinda gone into this hole in uneven ground and the next thing I knew I was on the ground with people walking past me. It was so funny, we laughed all the way home, which was about 20 minutes.

It's funny that you asked this because I almost fell this morning coming into work. I had my purse, lap top, and a hand full of paperwork as I was on my way to my desk. My heel got caught on a snag in the carpet and I almost went tumbling over. It it wasn't for the wall being so close I would have landed on the floor...lol. I played it off good though. I kept going like nothing happened. One of the secretaries saw me and I said "You didn't see a thing." She smiled and said "See what?" LOL...I thought it was funny though.

Well sudalunts,i have never fallen but i have seen such a pitty thing happen in front of my eyes.Once my friend who was a bit abnormal in size fell from down a chair breaking it in the process, the next thing which happened........every one started to laugh and he did spend sleepless nights for the next two days.I did laugh but realized the mistake and went back to help him to get out of the humiliation he faced aftermath.People do carry the funny side of such things, but forget the scar their action would create in victims.............

Oh My! Here goes my story: I was grocery shopping at Krogers and came out the door with a buggy full of groceries and not really sure what i did but lost my footing and when I started to fall I tried to catch myself by running. Now why is that you can't fall gracefully? I proceeded to run some poor man down in the parking lot and eventually did fall. Yes 911 had to be called, not for me, but the poor gentlemen that I mowed down on my way. I say if you're gonna go down take someone with you! LOL
He was fine after all was said and done and I'm lucky he didn't knock me back down! LOL

When I was a kid yes. A lot of times. But I don't think it counts with regards to your story. Cause as an adult I haven't yet. Although there are a lot of times that I experience almost going flat on the floor cause of feeling really weak and not well. But somehow I always am able to hold on and get home before I really can't stand anymore. I think it's my will power. Hehe.

One time I went to go see the band Skillet in concert. The "line" was not a line, but a mad rush of people. When the doors were opened, everyone went RUNNING down the hall. I got knocked over in the mad ruch, but fortunately I wasn't trampled. o_O Oh well. It was a great show!
