Yeah, Supernatural is back! (contains spoilers for season 4 premier)

Wow, what a blast this season is off to already! I loved the music choice for the opening montage, and the little homage to Buffy in Dean's rise from the dead. I thought overall it was a fantastic ep, and a radical change in direction for the show. Sam's blatantly lying to Dean, Dean's got some serious post traumatic stress issues, and angels! Yikes. The only thing I didn't like is the new actress playing Ruby. I understanding a casting decision had to be made based on the show's shoestring budget, but I just wasn't impressed with the actress at all. I *did* really enjoy the shout-out to Jensen Ackles' real-life friend, musician Jason Mann (he's who was playing on Sam's IPod in the car).

When did the new season start? Did it start on Thursday, September 25th? Or did I miss 2 episodes already? Oh man I can't believe I missed this! I love Supernatural. I wonder if the episode is online. I'm gonna have to go look and see.

well you live in the USA so i guess supernatural starting there before here in the UK. OMG its a different character for ruby? why? i hate when that happens.

I was so tickled. I'm skeptical that, that angel's really an angel though...they're usually pretty good on plot twists.
I do like the irony though. Sam was supposed to bring about the apocalypse awhile back and now Dean's been waited for by God...possibly to save the world?
I was surprised to see Sam lying to his brother though. I was gonna be disappointed that he wasn't developing his powers til we found that bit out.
How it began was eerie and awesome, and it wasn't obvious at all.
All in all, I really heart this premiere and I love the entire series anyway, but I really heart it.

You bring up a great point about her possessing another person... makes you wonder how far Sam's sense of right has slipped, if he's working with her and not horrified that she's going around possessing people.

the jason manns thing made me laugh out loud i am totally addicted again already i so love this show just watched this weeks show i excited i didn't know what they were gonna do with dean dying at what not but seals and agels and the devil and the whole heaven and hell thing. It isn't a direction i expected them to take then again they always surprise me fantastic show and i'm sure season 4 will be another fantatsic season rock on supernatural.

Loved dean and his car.. "Did you miss me baby?" lol
and then all mad becaus sam installed the ipod jack.
These 2 are fantastic together. I watched them both separately.
on other shows (and or soaps :) ) but I think together They make an awesome team!

I agree. It's so cool that they're best friends and room mates in real life, they have terrific chemistry together onscreen.

It was definatley an awesome season premiere. I was wondering how they were gonna bring Dean back, but this angel thing never even crossed my mind. It was a great twist in the plot. I'm so anxious to see what he wants them to do. And I agree with the fact that I'm not 100 percent sure that he is actually an angel. Or even if he is, that he doens't have some sort of agenda up his sleeve, like maybe he is an angel, but an evil one and he is going to use Dean to gain more power or something like that. Who knows. All I know is that I'm very exicted about seeing what this season has in store.
