The logic of BCCI picking the youngster is quite simple. In couple of years all the senior players will be on the verge of retiring from the cricket, so its good to groom the youngsters for the future so as the Indian team don't have to face talent crisis. But I think BCCI, after IPL, have such a tough job in picking the team, as IPL has exposed raw Indian talent. As a result senior players have hard time finding their place in the team. In my view BCCI shouldn't completely ignore the senior give them a fair chance to perform whenever suitable.

BCCI prefer youngsters upon the senior players because of the enthusiasm shown by the youngsters. The world today is based on fast moving and smart thinking. If the seniors stay and continue to dominate the game then the team would be left behind with some of the innovative solutions that is to be brought by the captain of the team.To be fast moving and to take the team members with the captain, the team should consist of some of the smart thinking players in them.In order to obey the captain's words or to move with the captain's idea one need to have a bunch of young players in them. So, from my point of view its the time to say goodbye to the seniors players who really don't move with the youngsters. But then rises the point of 'experience'..so according to me a team should consist of one experienced or senior player among them, who will move with the captains idea and will suggest the ideas to the captain.According to me Sachin Tendulkar should be in the present Indian team.He will be an inspirational to the youngsters and will provide a best suggestion to them who would be in a trouble to get back their lost form.
