Addiction to computer games

Some children love the computer very much. They actually love to play games in the computer. I do not understand why they do not get pleasure playing outdoor games. It is observed that they are doing this way something that are against their individual interest. They thus fail to do well in the class tests and in the progress card deterioration has been marked. What should one do to address this problem ?
