I just got a called that one of my neighbors son was injured in a bombing in Iraq. My neighbor has talked to her son. He is in a hospital and is being shipped to Germany as soon as possible. He has sharpnel (maybe misspelled) in his shoulder and his hip. He said he might not be able to put his army fatigue gear on again with his bad shoulder and that he might not be able to walk right again with his bad hip. It seems as though his military career is over. She will learn more in the future. And will let everyone know.

Oh my, I am so sorry to hear about this. This young man will be in my prayers and please keep us posted on his condition. Send our heartfelt gratitude to him and his family please. My son served in Operation Desert Storm but came home safely. But I still think about all those young people who are serving their country now and their families here at home and pray for them also. God Bless them all!

Chevee, if your neighbors need any assistance or have questions, please let me know because my husband just retired a year and a half ago after giving 27 years of his life to the military and knows a lot and might be able to help in some small or big way. Bless our troops!! We must never forget them and their fight for our freedom!!

It's the big people that decide on war and the little people suffer the consequences. No doubt they will make him a hero and he deserves it but is is injured and that is more real than a medal.

Aw, this is really sad news, i suppose peole know the risks when they join the military but that doesn't make it any better when things like this do happen! I hope he recovers as well as possible and is able to carry on with his career in some capacity! xxx

I never cease to be amazed at the bravery of these young men and women who risk their lives for the sake of freedom. I sometimes feel we don't appreciate them enough. Please send his family my best wishes for their son's full and speedy recovery and that there are some of us who truly appreciate his efforts on our behalf.
