Jerry Seinfeld did a series of oddball commercials with Microsoft founder Bill Gates.
Microsoft ads with Jerry Seinfeld, Bill Gates included pair buying shoes.Commercials were criticized.Microsoft says plan was always to use ads short term as lead to new campaign. I for one am glad these commercials were pulled. Did you like them? Or did you think they were tacky?

Though I'm a big fan of the Seinfeld show, I, too, find these commercials confusing. The only idea I could come up with from these commercials is they're trying to relate Microsoft more to the masses or the common people. I always had that "huh?" moment after seeing each of the commercial they've put out there.

I thought the commercials were not only silly but confusing. Obviously Apple commercial do a good job in pointing out the advantages of owning an Apple Mac and the flaws associated with buying a regular PC that will include Microsoft. However, the Microsoft commercials did not give consumers any good reason to want to buy Microsoft products, and besides that fact neither Jerry Seinfeld or Billy Gates come across as charming or funny, but instead creepy in the commercials.

I don't remember seeing them. How long ago were they made? I didn't have cable for a long time so that is why I might not have seen them.
