Playing Super Mario

I grew up surrounded by the world of video games. One of the most famous games ever is Super Mario. I got my first Nintendo when I was... I thing I was born owning a Nintendo (lol). My dad was an "expert" Super Mario Bros player, and when I started playing video games, I was good at every game I played except Mario. Why? I'm not sure. For some odd reason I stink at playing Mario :x I don't think I have ever been past the third level (or second). I am pretty good with today's 3d video games and many of the "old school" games, but the original... sheeeeshhhh! I have the Super Mario Bros game for the Nintendo DS Lite, and I am ok with it. I have played almost every game similar to Mario and succeeded, but my skills with Super Mario are till very lame. I've quit playing Mario. Don't get me wrong, I love the game but I've humiliated myself enough already. Anyways, what have been your experience with the all time classic Super Mario? Does anyone share my frustration, or am I the only Mario Lame-O?

I'm with you, I never beat a Super Mario game, we used to have the Game Genie cheat thing and I could use that to get to the higher levels and beat the game, but on my own I could never get past the first couple of levels with ANY Mario game. I don't know why, I think I don't have the patience. The Zelda games, on the other hand, I could pretty much beat honestly except for a couple. They were not easy at all but I could do it. Though the very very first one was so complicated I had to buy a book with maps in it to find my way around the labyrinths.

I like Super Mario game very much. It is very challenging. I have never got to the last stage. That's what makes it exciting and challenging. Keep falling off on the way every time. ! LOL ! Super Mario beats me every time ! But, I love the game !
