Hello.
What is a good age to move your child down the hall in to their own room?
Please let me know.
I have a 1 1/2 year old son.
And what is a good age to put the in a toddler bed?
Thanks

thats a good age to try putting him in his own room, my son was 18months before going in his own room and we had no hassle with him sleeping in his own room he loved it.
I also have a 10month old who im going to put in the same room as my other son next week and see how it goes if he is not resdy then ill put him back in my room.

well my kids had their own rooms since birth, but everybody does things differently. As far as the toddler bed, it's not a fun occurrence and I would always try to postpone it. I always waited until they were 2 but 18 months I'm sure is fine too.

We moved our daughter into her own room when she was about four months old, but the room was right across from us lol literally less than five steps away. She was in a crib though at the time. We got her a toddler bet when she was two, although I do know people who have done so sooner. It is a big step, but very exciting. It may take you and your child a little while to get use to the toddler bed. My daughter was so excited that she learned she could get out of bed on her own. So, we put a baby gate in the door. Even though she is so close, I didn't want to take any chances with her getting up in the middle of the night and exploring.

I don't think there is a particular age for the child. Most times the child is in the room with the parents for the parents comfort. It is usually because the parent wants to be close for a whimper. My son has always been in his own room. I moved him to a toddler bed when he was 2 years old.
