I usually see that most develope country or rich country has a good transportation to carry the people from one place to another place. There are bus, train, monorail, own vehicles and etc. Beside that, good transportation will make us more easy to travel outside.
So In our daily life, we all have an outdoor activities. Like going to work, going to school and etc.
I choose two of them. Going to work and going to school.
So what transportation do you use when you going to work or school ? I usually use my motorcyle because bus and train isn't very popular in my place.
Thank's for the willing time to read and respond my discussion.

Hi winzpc, bus and taxi are the available public transports from my house to the place where I work. It is quite inconvenient to go by bus as I have to change bus at the bust station for the place I currently work. If I want to reach my destination straight away I could only hire a cab which the charge is very much expensive than that by bus
Luckily I own an old car so I could go to my office riding on my car. It takes me 20 minutes or so to drive there.
posting and take care.

wow, you must be rich because you ride a taxi... well here in the philippines, taxi fare or cab fare is very expensive for me because we are poor. i really don't know why are there so many taxi cab here in the philippines especially in cebu even though the fares are quite expensive. imagine the flagdown rate is $0.30, that's almost one day of posting here in mylot... LOL.

I drive to work each day; our public transportation system s**ks. There is no direct buses or trains to my office too.
My office is only 10km away from my house; on weekdays, it takes about an hour or so to reach office. On weekends, it takes only 15 minutes. The traffic jam is terrible; especially before and after the toll plaza that I have to go through. So I would have to leave the house early each morning (before 7.15am) if I do not want to get caught in the jam.

Have to use the car to get to my place of employment. It's about thirteen miles from my home to work everyday and that's each way. Their is a bus service that goes in that general direction but your looking at a commuting time of around an hour which is far too long. With no other forms of public transport I feel the my car is my only method of transport. Do have a push bike but down a very busy road with tankers and fast traffic I feel safer in my little red ka.

Well, I mostly use public transport for my daily commutation. I don't possess any personal vehicle as of yet. I use the tube rail mostly, it's much faster than overhead transport. Otherwise I use buses and a certain form of transport in our country called auto-rickshaws. I'm wondering, if bus and train aren't popular modes of transport where you live, then what sort of public transport do people prefer? Please do reply. Cheers.

I usually use my motorcycle too, because in my city it is more convenient to use one, it makes me easy to maneuver on traffic jam, and of course a lot more easier to get a parking too, the only problem is when its in rainy season, its getting quite a troublesome since I would need to prepare a raincoat before going anywhere

Since it's not so far for me to go to work. So everyday I prefer to go to work on foot and it will take me about half an hour walking to the office. I can regard it as a kind of exercise. Besides, I am impatient to wait for the bus and sometimes I am worried about the traffic jam. So walking to the office is the best choice for me since it's not far.

I'm working far away from my house. About 20minutes drive from home. I have no choice but to drive my own car to work. We don't have monorail or train here. So, driving is my only choice. Petrol price is rising like crazy nowadays, even though there's a little bit decrease but it's still high compare to last time, so petrol expenses is one of my burden.

Here in my country not everyone has their own car and so jeep is the most popular way of transportation for commuting. I myself have a car but with the price of gasoline it's better if I just commute to school. But if the family has someplace to go to then we go by car. Cause the total fair we're going to spent commuting amounts to about 3 gallons of gasoline. Hehe.

I use to drive to my work place. But, now-a-days, with the gasoline prices soaring, I take the public transport, busses and trains. Some of my friends are doing car-pooling, which is also a good way.

I use my car. Our bus system is mostly for poor people to go shopping. So they can get food. It comes here at 9:45 and leaves our city at 3:45, not very good hours for a job or school. They have bus runs to all the shopping centers and only one from dorms to a community college. Nothing to our 4 year University. But if I just want to go into town for shopping or if I have a Dr's appointment that I can fit in the middle of that time period and walk there, then I have taken the bus. In the last month, I've taken the bus 3 times.

It will be bus for me, no matter wherever i go because it's much more convenient for me, as my house is not near to any train stations ^_^ BUt i do take trains occasionally if there's no dicrect bus for me to take..
So far, regardless of school or work, i'm lucky in a way as i've got direct bus there and so it saves me quite alot of time too ^_^ Other than that, they are some days where i will run to my workplace too, but i will have to reach there slightly earlier so that i can cool down b4 i start work ^_^

Hi there!
When I was still studying I go to school by car. Me and my sister go to the same school and our driver drops us off and fetches us up to my college years. But now that I am old enough to travel on my own I travel by public transportation. I used to have a car 2 years back but I decided to sell it. Maintenance is costly and I don't have time to take care of it. It's a good thing also that I sold my car now that the price of gas keeps on increasing. At least I don't have to buy gas anymore.
Ciao!

Well, I love walking. Most of the time, I go to my workplace on foot. I believe, we should walk if the distance is not too far. Walking can save your money. Besides, you are surely getting some physical benefits. I do not avail a bus or other transport if I have enough time in my hand to reach my workplace. Some of my colleagues call me miser as I am reluctant to spend money in riding on a public transport. But I don't care, because it's I who is benefited from this walking.
