What is the worst experience you have ever had eating out. Our family just went to Hoss's the other night and the service was terrible so it inspired this discussion. The waitress's family was sitting at the table next to us. so while she was waiting on everyone she was talking to her family across the room. She brought the wrong drinks then didn't come back except to take plates. The food wasn't great either. So what was your worst restaurant experience?

I think the worst eating out experience is the day before yesterday. I 've went out with my cousins. We are have dinner in one restaurant, we have asked for about eight dishes, and after the waitress brought them to us. We find thress are wrong, we want soup of fish, but the fish is without soup. We want a sour cabbage soup instand, but the soup is not cabbage. And the duck meat also wrong, many of dishes are not tast good. I really don't know how the waitress listened to us, make so many mistakes.

My partner and I went to Denny's pretty late one night while at our old school. There were only a few other parties there so the restaurant was pretty quiet, not a lot going on. There were two waitresses working that night and a few cooks. Well, we ordered our food and the waitress seemed to be OK with doing her job. However, for some odd reason, after our food was served, she never came back until our plates were clean, only to remove them. We never got drink refills and we never got any condiments for our meal either.
We had planned on giving her a tip but because she never treated us like a waitress should, we didn't tip her. I know she was pretty frustrated with that but I really don't care. That's her job. If you don't do your job you're not going to get a tip.

My worst eating out experience was a couple of years ago when I was helping a friend move . Because we were in the process of moving everything out of her house there was really no place to sit down and eat let alone make something so she offered to take me to the restaurant for helping her move everything .
We waited forever for our food . All I had ordered was a bowl of soup which should have taken no more then a few minutes and my friend had ordered a burger and fries . She was served before I was and was almost finished before I got my soup . When it was finally served , I noticed something swimming in my soup and told my friend that it didn't look good . She checked it out and we realized it was full of flies . It was beyond disgusting . When we told the waitor she said " Oh I'm sorry did you want another bowl " ? Now call me stupid but why would I want another bowl of soup when I knew it was going to come from the same pot that had been served to me the first time , since it was homemade soup . It wasn't like they were going to whip up another pot while I was sitting there . I said no and she got impatient and asked what else I wanted . I ended up ordering a fries and chicken nuggets . I was never apologized to and ended up paying double for my meal because the fries and nuggets were a lot more then the soup . It didn't actually cost me anything because my friend paid but I didn't figure she should have paid full price when I had ordered the soup and they had served it with bugs in it .
Needless to say I have never eaten there again and have found out that they have been shut down a couple of times !! It still always reopens though and many of the locals will still eat there because it is the only restaurant in our area without having to drive half an hour away .

We had a pretty bad experience at a McDonald's, not that it was exactly fine dining. But they messed up our order so badly, my daughter wrote a blog about it! It was pretty funny:

Where do I even begin here? I have had so many bad experinces throughout the years it really makes me wonder.
First occasion went to a Perkin's one time with my granny and my mom. Granny was hankering for Perkin's so where she wants to go we go. Anyway things started off smoothly and the waitress was really nice. However she took our drink orders and when she brought out our drinks my moms glass as well as mine had a nice ring of dark pink lipstick. Which you can clearly see on the glass. I asked to have new glasses. Needless to say all she did was take it to the back and wipe it off. Now who in the heck does that? Couldn't they give new glasses. Were they so hard up for them or what? They really weren't as there weren't many people in there. But it was the fact that you could still see the smeer on the glasses.
Another restraunt we went to we had a family birthday for my grandma so I say there was about 20 of us. So needless to say they took our orders and slowly plates were coming out. However everyone got their meals but me. I sat there and stopped the waitress asking nicely where my plate was she said it will take a few minutes. So I waited some more. I waited and did some more waiting. Finally everyone at our party had finished their meals and I have yet to get mine. So I questioned about it again where my plate was. Apparently it sat up under the nice lovely lights they have and when I got it it was cold and dried out. Like I was going to eat that. I ended up having a bag of chips for my dinner. Was not impressed at all.
Another time went out with a few friends for a late night meal and it was pretty busy. But when the waitress are going to the customers that are walking in after us before us I was getting a little annoyed. We waited a long time to get our order in and even then waited over an hour for our meals. Needless to say there was a group of people behind us talking very loudly about god. Ok I don't care what your relgion was or anything but everyone around them was getting really annoyed by how loud they were talking. There is a time and a place for everything and by all means talk all you want about him but must you do it so loudly. You could here them talking from the bathroom which was quite the distance away. As well with the crappy service the waitress was the biggest B&*%( on the planet and was very snotty and snooty. She placed her hands over our cups and in all my experiences I have never seen a waitress do this as your lips are being pressed against that section. So I asked to get a new glass. Where there drinks were we could clearly see what was taking place. She spit in my drink and stirred it up with a straw. I was furious and threw it back in her face. And walked out.

I was really surprised she did this. Actually everyone who seen her do it was disgusted and were really cheering when I threw it in her face. Needless to say she did get fired that night.

I went to Buffalo Wild Wings in my hometown, and after the waitress brought us our drinks she said she would be right back to take our food order- and we never saw her again. After 20 minutes or so we called over a different waiter who was working in a section near ours and told him that we hadn't ordered our food yet, and he said he would go find our waitress. Then we kept waiting, and still nothing. After 45 minutes or so we got up and left without paying for our drinks. Worst service I've ever had.
The second worst was a little family diner in Buena Vista, CO. I ordered a French Dip sandwich and it was the worst sandwich I've ever had. The Au Jus sauce was just the juice from the meat, unseasoned, poured into a bowl. It had about 1/4 inch of pure grease floating on top of it and was completely flavorless. Yuck!

My husband and son took me out to eat on Mother's Day one year. We got there, got seated and we waited and waited. Finally a young man took our drink order and said someone would take our food order shortly. We got our drinks, finished them then finally got our orders taken. We again played the waiting game, yes it was busy so we just figured that was what the problem was. While waiting on our order there was others coming in also, well when we saw some getting their food that had come in after us then we got a different waiter's attention. This one made sure we got our food right away, we eat, paid and left. We did bring it to the attention of the manager and we made sure that the tip went to the waiter that got out food to us right away.

ravinskye hi my worst experience was at a Dennys. We all
'ordered the steak special. the waitress was busy talking
to a friend at the table behind us while we were giving
her our order.I ordered steak medium well done, my husband
ordered medium rare, but when they came his was welldone, and mine was rare, with blood pouring out of the meat. also my
baked potato was icy cold, so we asked her to give me a steak med, well done and my husband a medium rare.okey the waitress brought my husbands dinner out and all was okay, but she brought mine out, the steak was okay but when I went to open my hot baked potato there was a gross coil of human hair embedded in the
potato and it was the color of the waitresses hair. I complainede again this time to the manager who told the waitress to get me an uncontaminated hot bakedpotato. he didnt charge us for our meals
either but I never did go back to that Dennys again.

I've had plenty of bad experiences, mostly involving horrible service, but the most recent bad experience was on a trip to IHOP. We were sat in the back, directly underneath an air conditioning vent, and although we asked to move, she only moved us 1 table over. My kids were all in tank tops, and the temp in that room had to be below 60. We asked the manager to turn down the a/c, but we never felt any relief from the cold. The temp made our food cold very quickly, and it was ice cold before we were half way through with the meal.
Although the server seemed friendly enough, I got quite annoyed when she brought everyone's food except for my son's plate. So he sat and watched the rest of us eat without food in front of him. That irritated me, because in my house, the kids are fed first, from youngest to oldest.
To top it all off, my husband had ordered toast, so after our meals were served I decided I wanted toast too. It took forever! By the time I got my toast the rest of my food was already gone, and my toast was burned around the edges. I wasn't going to bother to wait for the server to come back in order to complain. My children were shivering and turning blue from the cold. I just left in a huge huff.

Lol. I've responded to a similar discussion a week or so ago here also in mylot. I'm also with my family and its lunch time. We're at a mall and so almost all restaurant is full. And then we ended up with one which still has a spot for us. But then it becomes a bad experience for us. And I doubt we're going back there again. There is just one waiter and we waited for almost an hour before our orders are brought to us. And then the food is really not good. It's just horrible.

My worst dining experience would be a toss up between the aphids (small black bugs) that were in my Caesar Salad, or the time at Pizza Hut where the cheese toast I ordered had no cheese and was burnt to a crisp and the chicken alfredo had no chicken and tasted nasty!!

we went to bennigans for my brothers bday and it took 20 minutes for them to seat us.
they got our order pretty quickly so we didnt really get mad about waiting to get seated.
but after an hour and 15 minutes of waiting on our food we left.
the manager came 5 minutes before we left and said that our waiter just left for lunch..we had our drinks and were just sitting there and just walked out...there was us and only one other couple in there..and the other couple said they were waiting on a dessert for about 45 minutes...the walked out right after us..
it doesnt suprise me they went out of business

It seems like a lot good restaurants have poor quality/service in Orlando. It seems like the restaurants operators and/or staff just don't care about pleasing the customers since they're probably tourists who won't be back soon anyway. Sad, isn't it.
